What is Metapho?

Metapho is a photo metadata viewer and editor app for iOS devices. It allows users to view and edit essential EXIF data of photos, including date, file name, size, camera model, shutter speed, and location. The app also supports Live Photos and videos. Install Metapho app on your Windows in 4 steps below:

Download an Android emulator for PC:

Install the emulator:

Using Metapho on PC [Windows 10/ 11]:

Open the Emulator app you installed » goto its search bar and search "Metapho"
The search will reveal the Metapho app icon. Open, then click "Install".
Once Metapho is downloaded inside the emulator, locate/click the "All apps" icon to access a page containing all your installed applications including Metapho.

Should be included in iOS it’s so good

This is a fantastic companion app for Photos for iOS. It really is great for modifying location data for pictures that I have imported from my Canon camera to my iPad. We all know how much of a pain it is to take pictures with a DSLR that lacks GPS. This app allows you to select multiple photos and tag the correct geolocation data for all of the photos that lack that data. Couldn’t be happier with this app. Would gladly pay more or even an annual $5 subscription or something. Well worth it. Polished interface and bug free in my usage so far on iOS 11.
Very good app but can’t select and copy the camera info

I really do like the app, it’s clearly a labor of love by the developer(s). Plenty of key features make this a great app. I have only one other feature I wish it had; the ability to copy the camera metadata so I can paste the text elsewhere in apps on my phone (like notes and in social media post comments accompanying my photographs). Other photographers are often interested in the camera, iso and other camera settings but aren’t going to dig into the exif data embedded into the photo to find that info. That addition would make the posting workflow so much easier. It’d be a five star app for me.
The best EXIF/metadata editing app I’ve come across so far

Tried a couple of apps, this is really the best EXIF/metadata editing app - the functionality completeness, the UI design, the stability of the app (esp. not messing up with anything else on the pic file/metadata). I used to keep another app which has more complete view of EXIF and other metadata - back then this app only showed part of the metadata info. Now that this app also offers a complete view, no need to keep that one anymore. I’m happy that the developing team hear what the users need and keep improving the product. Definitely worth the $3 price.
Batch real metadata editing added

The developer listened to feedback and added the ability to edit metadata for photos without doubling their file sizes (which happened before). This removes revertability (but you can still go to Recently Deleted to recover the originals) but that’s not very important when adding locations to photos. This makes this app the perfect companion for someone with a digital camera. I use the lightning to SD card adapter to import my camera photos to my iPhone, batch edit their metadata using this app, and everything’s great. Well-designed app!
