Doesn’t work...
By Go Pats!!! (Pcmac user)
My phone was an iPhone 5S and I’m upgrading to an iPhone 8. For whatever reason when I backed up my old iPhone to update my new iPhone not everything transferred over. I was using iCloud to transfer everything but there were some things that didn’t make it such as my contacts and calendar appointments; ironically all my photos and apps did. So I tried this this app Mobile Transfer app. Upon setting up it took forever to “get connected” or whatever term it uses. After that it said it was “finding content”. The issue is that it never stopped loading... I kept both of the phones connected for about 45 minutes to an hour and the entire time the app said “finding content”. I decided to close the app down on the phone to see if anything happened and it didn’t. Other people are saying theirs took a few minutes....I was not so lucky.
2nd time around: I went through my old phone and I deleted apps and photos that were transferred with iCloud. I think this made connecting to the this app Mobile Transfer much easier! However, there still 200 or so contacts that will not transfer over. I go through the prompts and select contacts, it sees 378 of them, but when I hit transfer only 178 actually transfer... I’ve tried it like 4 or 5 times and it still doesn’t work.

Does what it’s supposed to do!
By MemphisBelleTenn (Pcmac user)
This was one of the rare times where I’ve downloaded an app, used it and it worked flawlessly, not to mention quickly. This app was so easy to use, transferring all of my info from an iPhone 6 to iPhone 8, that I came back to the App Store immediately to leave my review.
This app gave me an estimated transfer time of one minute...it was under two, which was perfectly fine by me. For reference, this was for 626 contacts (man, I need to figure out how to keep business emails from saving to my account), 34 pics (you know, because the other 3,000 are already on laptop and iCloud) and 8 videos. I would be confident that this app could handle much larger amounts quickly, depending on network speeds. Thank you for making a great utility app!

Not all contacts transferred
By Bethsodas (Pcmac user)
Was transferring from iphone 6 to iphone 8 and though it SAYS most of my contacts transferred, some of them the numbers didn’t transfer. Because iCloud is impossible to deal with when you’ve had lots of photos and several phones (somehow even when deleting it’s always full) I’m still left frustrated that many numbers didn’t come over.
I don’t know how else to respond to the developer response, so here goes: It does seem like the contacts that weren’t transferred happened after my icloud stopped downloading. With that said, when you go to set up the phone, it already gives you the option of syncing with icloud, and I knew that would be problematic in my case. It’s a free app, so I can’t complain too much, but it would be WONDERFUL if an app could be developed to actually just do it phone to phone somehow. I’ve had issues with itunes too, btw on my laptop - I connect the new phone and it tells me it can’t connect, so I’m kinda screwed :(

Very smooth process, after I...
By jmharv (Pcmac user)
The design and functionality of the app is great, and it worked like a charm.
My only issue was that the app kept crashing on my old Nokia Windows phone early in the process. When that happened, there wasn’t a good way to abort it on my new iPhone so I could try again.
I finally uninstalled all the added apps on the old phone, restarted it, and it worked like it should. Something was apparently conflicting.
The bottom line is that I didn’t lose any contacts and my photos and videos didn’t have to be manually copied from OneDrive.
