Software Features and Description

1. ToneStack is the ultimate UNIVERSAL app for signal processing: with the LARGEST and BEST selection of AMPS & FX, the latest advancements in modeling technology, and an unbelievably powerful yet simple interface – it simply shreds all the other guys.

2. ToneStack offers a huge range of amps, cabs & FX: from sparkly clean to sizzling hot bias tube amps, iconic stompboxes, pro-grade rack units, and high-end reverbs, ToneStack is the most complete plugin suite on the iOS.

3. Why be limited with just 4 or 8 FX that other guys max you out at? ToneStack lets you run a whopping 64 amps & effects simultaneously* so you can let your imagination run wild.

4. ToneStack also allows you to insert other Inter-App Audio apps anywhere in your signal chain.

5. Wanna quickly jam out an idea, or cut a song and share it? ToneStack offers a powerful 8-Track recorder – first two tracks free — with plenty of user-friendly features.

6. ToneStack also brings many powerful guitar FX to the iOS for the first time: polyphonic octaver, harmonizer, realistic spring reverbs, virtual-reel tape delays are just a few examples.

7. Thanks to ToneStack's state-of-the-art “Virtual Circuit” technology, each ToneStack unit is the digital mirror image of a real analog topology.

8. Unlike other FX apps that try to copycat with EQing and other gimmicks, ToneStack recreates the intricate designs of the real thing.

9. Built-in tuner, metronome and a custom onSTAGE mode are just a few other amazing ToneStack features.

10. You can match any amp with any cab (all cabs have 3 mics with distance & position settings); you can insert any unit anywhere – even between amps and cabs like a true FX loop.

11. MIDI learn is super-intuitive thanks to ToneStack's WYSIWYG interface: all the amp & FX controls are MIDI-programmable.

  • The Best!

    By blueswanderer (Pcmac user)

I've been trying to find a good amp sim for 10+ years, including various hardware modelers. I've tried all the iOS apps and this leaves them in the dust; I've yet to find a better, organic 'tube' sound and have drawn compliments using this for open mics. The only nits: while it is possible to save/share settings, the app doesn't have any kind of community feature to faciliate sharing presets (the company's forum has a thread for this, but it isn't very active). I also wish there were a way to get this app on my Mac!
  • Tone doesn't Stack up

    By GabrielQ (Pcmac user)

Let me preface this by saying I recently switched from a 12 pedal pedalboard to an iPad based setup with a guitar wing and source audio hot hand USB for control. I mostly just wanted to copy the setup I have on my pedalboard but for full wireless and pedal free operation. Have been using bias fx, but got this because I really like how much better the midi control options are on this. Really wanted this to work because the midi control is pretty great. However, it doesn't deliver where it counts: the sound. The overdrive/distortion sounds just don't cut it, they sound like modeled tones, whereas bias actually sounds real. Tried really hard to dial in convincing tones and couldn't do it. Also, the phase 90 clone is horrible and tone sucking, and that's a huge part of my playing, so that is a killer right there. The ups: I will say though, I use the wah as a iaa w/ bias, it sounds much better and responds much better to midi control. Echorec in this app sounds pretty good too. I might try the poly octave too, because I'm not terribly happy w/ bias fx's version. I mean, if you want 90's/early 00's level modeling sounds, this has a ton of options, and great control... but I'm accustomed to the real gear, and the Tone just doesn't Stack up for what I need on the core sounds.
  • Another great app from Yonac

    By Fsaxwas9 (Pcmac user)

I’ve been trying a few different options for real-time multi effects to use on synths and saxophone. Some laptop VST effects, individual effects on iOS (Filtatron), Amplitube, etc. I think the overall audio quality on this app is quite good. In particular, I really like the Echo and Magellan filter. Where I think the Yonac app really excels is the user interface. It’s very intuitive and even on iPhone it’s very easy to create a chain with 4 or 5 effects and switch them on and off. While I could chain together an excellent group of effects using my laptop host, using a mouse pointer isn’t the easiest way to control everything. I’m very glad that I decided to check this out.
  • Stop reading, Start playing ! inSTUDIO 8 is 🔥

By Tech Reviews 9 (Pcmac user)

After extensive research obsessing over every Amp Sim in this store I made the leap and now spend my time playing thru this app rather than reading hundreds more reviews comparing each of these. I've been using it a year now and still love it! Yonac is committed to continued support (*cough* I'm looking at you JamUp Pro *cough*) Everyone boasts the rich warm tones and untouchable modulation effects, admittedly superb, but the Acoustic Amp sims put a Gibson Hummingbird, Martin, or Taylor in my hands. Equally underrated is the inSTUDIO 8-track recorder, simply outstanding. Until Apple ports Logic Pro X to iOS, this 8-track serves as my DAW and supports routing other apps (even you BiasFX ) thru Inter-App-Audio. It's got everything, MIDI, ABY, the whole 9. Put on some headphones, or feed your amps Send/Return Loop and enjoy true stereo chorus, phasers, Flangers, etc. You won't be disappointed! 🤘🏻
