Install StaffWars app on your Windows in 4 steps below:
- Download an Android emulator for PC:
Get either Bluestacks or the Nox App >> . We recommend Bluestacks because you can easily find solutions online if you run into problems while using it. Download Bluestacks PC software Here >> .
- Install the emulator:
On your computer, goto the Downloads folder » click to install Bluestacks.exe or Nox.exe » Accept the License Agreements » Follow the on-screen prompts to complete installation.
- Using StaffWars on PC [Windows 10/ 11]:
- Open the Emulator app you installed » goto its search bar and search "StaffWars"
- The search will reveal the StaffWars app icon. Open, then click "Install".
- Once StaffWars is downloaded inside the emulator, locate/click the "All apps" icon to access a page containing all your installed applications including StaffWars.
- Now enjoy StaffWars on PC.

- Does not have a setting to combine clefs for advanced players
- Does not show notes on ledger lines while still slow enough to get used to them

Wonderful teaching tool!

I love this game! I have all my students buy it to help with their note reading. I especially love that tenor clef was recently added.
The only thing it’s missing now is a setting to combine some or all of the clefs in one game to practice switching between them in real time (like for advanced cellists who have to read bass, tenor and treble clef fluidly; or violists who frequently switch between alto and treble clef). Maybe make this upgrade at some point in the future? I would even pay a higher price for a “Pro” version that has this feature.
In any case, thanks to the developers for the awesome app!

Practicing alto clef

Fun and helpful for a violinist who dabbles with occasional viola parts. I wish notes on ledger lines came while it is still slow so I could get used to what they look like.

Love this app! Use it all the time with my students. They enjoy competing against each other for the high score. The developer is great as well and is very responsive to feedback.
