The MIND app (Make an Impact on Neurological Disorders) features art, music and dance activities to appeal to the visual, physical and auditory capacities of patients afflicted by neurological disorders such as Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, essential tremor, stroke, traumatic brain injury.

2. The app is also designed to ease the relationship between Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, essential tremor, stroke, and traumatic brain injury patients and caregivers by providing topics of discussion activities that they can enjoy together.

3. This app features a virtual art gallery where users can observe well known masterpieces, such as Leonardo Da Vinci’s Mona Lisa; create their own version of them and play matching game activities.

4. Users can create their own music, watch dance and exercise videos, and enjoy music from different countries.

5. Additional content for this site was developed with the assistance of Amy Trommer, David Leventhal and Dance for PD, Daniel C.

Open the Emulator app you installed » goto its search bar and search "MIND App"
The search will reveal the MIND App for Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s & essential app icon. Open, then click "Install".
Once MIND App is downloaded inside the emulator, locate/click the "All apps" icon to access a page containing all your installed applications including MIND App.
Now enjoy MIND App on PC.

To get started, Download the OpenPC software »
- Upon installation, open OpenPC app » goto "Playstore on PC" » click "Configure_Download" button. This will auto-download and install PlayStore on your computer.

To use MIND App,
- Login to the PlayStore we just installed
- Search for "MIND App" » then Click "Install".
- MIND App for Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s & essential will now be available on your Windows start-menu.

I'm a speech pathologist in an SNF and absolutely love using this app to encourage expressive language and participation in ST. It is always engaging and evokes series of memories among my residents, regardless of their backgrounds. Would love another app from the developer.
Great app, needs updating

I've explored all the aspects of this app and it is great. However, when using the birdhouse activity, I am constantly kicked out. It seems like it could be potentially problematic when an patient with cognitive inflexibility is kicked out of the app. Please fix.
Why does it shut down

I just downloaded this today. Decided to build the bird house. It keeps knocking me out of the program, shuts down after moving one object. Very frustrating. Hope the rest of the app is not like that. Want to use it for my husband! As it is this will not work for him at all! Help!!!
