Software Features and Description

1. You’ll find yourself thinking: “I’ve eaten green healthy meals all day and I don’t want a huge red unhealthy meal on my timeline” Or you may have a spiraling out of control “red” day – with lots of unhealthy meals, and you’ll find yourself wanting to add something “green” to make your timeline look better.

2. Are you eating too much at night? Eating too many snacks? Skipping breakfast too often? Not getting enough workouts logged on a weekly basis? One look at a weekly or monthly timeline, and you’ll be empowered to make changes that pertain to YOU and the intricacies of your lifestyle.

3. Simply pick your color, pick your size… and GO! This finely crafted app offers one-touch meal entry that creates a visual food log more powerful, understandable and useful than typical calorie trackers.

4. Typical calorie trackers are rarely accurate because we all tend to underestimate our food intake, overestimate our activity and we rarely, if ever, have the exact weight/size/brand/recipe to enter, making the whole process “just a guess” anyway.

5. • Interactive timeline shows daily, weekly and monthly views of your eating and exercise habits.

6. • “How to Succeed” coaching section offers practical guidance on what behaviors to look for on your timeline and how to make healthy adjustments.

7. GO plots each entry on an easy-to-read timeline in daily, weekly or monthly formats.

8. That means you’ll use it consistently and make better choices more often – making you healthier with each positive choice.

9. Developed by Dietitians, GO is the easiest meal and fitness tracker you’ll ever use.

10. 2) You’ll find new motivation to stay on track.

11. The point is, most of know when we make healthy or not-so-healthy choices… what we really need is the motivation to make better choices - and the visibility to see the impact of our choices over time.

  • Good idea, rubbish in executing it

    By Amber W (Pcmac user)

Was really excited to get this as I'm a visually focused person, but found myself frustrated and disappointed. It allows for photos, but doesn't allow for you to use photos from your library. As a new user, I don't automatically think of opening this app right away to take a picture of a meal -- I'll just take a picture of it. But this app doesn't offer the ability to add pictures into the app/timeline... You must take it as a live feed, straight to the app. This would maybe be fair enough, if you could at least have a green generic circle WITH A DESCRIPTION WHEN YOU CLICK. The "edit" meal button allows you to delete a meal, but at no point came you name/describe even keyword it. This is also VERY unhelpful if you have a small snack/meal, because the size of the circle correlates to size of meal, so if you take a picture of a small snack you have an image the size of the tip of your index finger to look at, and since you can't name anything, a week later you'll be squinting trying to figure out what you ate because it's such a low quality picture (that doesn't zoom) you won't be able to tell. Was really excited about potential of this app but wow, such a waste. Seriously, use something like Instagram instead. You'll get your visual needs, can use existing photos, have decent sized photos, and can label/describe everything. UPDATE: July 2015 - I redownloaded this over a year later to see if it had improved. It hadn't. Waste of money, space and time.
  • Good!

    By JBlondie (Pcmac user)

I think this app is great. I've been looking for a way to track my food without counting calories. I already know what not to eat and how much I should or shouldn't eat, it's more about remembering what all I have eaten in a day and seeing trends. I would give it 5 stars except there doesn't seem to be a way to edit my entry or add it in at a later time. (I accidentally deleted an entry trying to edit it and I can't add it back in.) Also, the photos can't be added from the camera roll. Other than that it's great. Thanks.
  • Needs ability to describe meals

    By SamAnsel (Pcmac user)

I think this app is great except 1) I can't write a little note about my meals ie: banana when I forget to take a pic 2) can't edit entries. App would be infinitely better with these two small features. Otherwise it's quick and easy to use, and I like the visuals for determining how I did each day.
  • No obsessions anymore

    By Regretful:( (Pcmac user)

This is very good for tracking how I'm doing and giving me better time spent on moving forward instead of obsessing what I should have done. Because I only see colors then I can quickly know if I am doing great and decide if my next meal should be green or if it's ok if I splurge a little. I think it's helped me to be less obsessive and be more relaxed yet keeping within my set boundaries. It works!
