  • Don't bother purchasing full version

    By Bloodcyka (Pcmac user)

Demo version is a very poor excuse of an app. Imagine how much worse the full version with all "functions" will turn out.

  • No Drum Notation

    By mwyner (Pcmac user)

5/17: I tried the app again in hopes that after a year it was usable for drum notation and I could buy the real thing. Nope. While pen recognition is much faster, the app doesn't get cymbal hits (maybe 1/10), even when I use their little symbol guide icons. I also wrote a bass drum note, and it added a flat symbol next to it. I didn't realize drums had flats....very disappointing that this app still is awful for drum notation, even after all this time. My original review below stands (aside from the slow input). App is awful. There’s no support, the user guide doesn’t help at all. I’m trying to add in drum notation, and the only thing I can get it to recognize are quarter notes. If I try drum style 8th notes (with the bar), they disappear from the screen. I even watched a 3rd party video, and it doesn’t work. Also very very slow to recognize input from the stylus. i downloaded this since if I liked it I would’ve bought the full program, but with no support, and just extreme frustration, that’s not going to happen.
  • Screw Sibelius, Forget Finale

    By SexyManBeast23 (Pcmac user)

This is just the best music notation software ever written. It's a million times easier and much more intuitive than finale and Sibelius. My suggestion to everyone is to simply read the instructions before using this app. Yes, they're long and no one will actually do it, but it'll greatly benefit you and this app won't frustrate you. The two features that the free version lacks most is the ability to export as a PDF and to write more than one staff. I'm probably gonna shell out the $40 on the full version because this app is just so great. My only want for this app is to be able to export and be edited by Sibelius and/or Finale after you are done with your score so that you can get really nit-picky and tweak it to perfection
