Great little app that does one thing well

I rarely review software on the Mac App Store... but in this case, this is a little gem of an app that is well worth the $5 I paid. I detest having to split my screen recordings into two files, edit the audio (usually just normalizing, sometimes adding compression for extra pop), then combine them again. Sure, it only takes 5-10 minutes to do this using Final Cut Pro X, but it's annoying to have to do all that work when I just want to bump the audio level a few dB! This app lets you drag video, audio, etc. files onto it, click a button, and have a normalized audio track within a few seconds (well, minutes for really long recordings!). Perfect for what I need. For larger/more important recordings, I'll still use FCPX, but this app hits a sweet spot of not having too many annoying features, but working reliably. As a fellow Mac App developer with a really simple app that does one thing well, I'm very glad you published and maintain this app!

This program does a fantastic job! I teach online (Udemy), and used to get complaints from my students about my uneven audio across a 8 hour course (100s of videos). Now, I throw them all in this program and they normalize to 89DB perfectly every time. Students are loving the quality! THANK YOU!

I’ve got tons of the app files that are all normalized to different levels, and it’s great having a tool that can handle multiple files at once, adjusting them to a uniform volume level! Works perfectly, easy to use. Very good for an app under $5. Highly recommend.

I wanted to normalize an entire library of bedtime music: classical, vocal, new age, ambient, choral, whatever. the app levels were so inconsistent that the music would sometimes wake me up. Anyway, I dragged a library of hundreds of tunes onto the this app window, and it normalized the entire library of mixed MP2 and M4A files. I couldn’t be happier! Only gave it 4 stars because of the lack of user feedback while it’s operating. I wasn’t sure if it was analyzing or normalizing and writing out new files, and some file names were appended with the normalization value I entered (89db) while others were not — but in the end, everything got normalized. Kudos.
