Download and install the Prepper app on your Windows 10,8,7 or Mac in 4 simple steps below:
- Download an Android emulator for PC and Mac:
Get either Bluestacks or the Nox App >> . We recommend Bluestacks because you can easily find solutions online if you run into problems while using it. Download Bluestacks Pc or Mac software Here >> .
- Install the emulator on your PC or Mac:
On your computer, goto the Downloads folder » click to install Bluestacks.exe or Nox.exe » Accept the License Agreements » Follow the on-screen prompts to complete installation.
- Using Prepper on PC [Windows 7/ 8/8.1/ 10/ 11]:
- Open the Emulator app you installed » goto its search bar and search "Prepper"
- The search will reveal the Prepper app icon. Open, then click "Install".
- Once Prepper is downloaded inside the emulator, locate/click the "All apps" icon to access a page containing all your installed applications including Prepper.
- Now enjoy Prepper on PC.
- Using Prepper on Mac OS:

How to download and use Prepper App on Windows 11
To get Prepper on Windows 11, check if there's a native Prepper Windows app here » ». If none, follow the steps below:
- Download the Amazon-Appstore » (U.S only)
- Click on "Get" to begin installation. It also automatically installs Windows Subsystem for Android.
- After installation, Goto Windows Start Menu or Apps list » Open the Amazon Appstore » Login (with Amazon account)
- For non-U.S users, Download the OpenPC software »
- Upon installation, open OpenPC app » goto Playstore on PC » click Configure_Download. This will auto-download Google Play Store on your Windows 11.
- Installing Prepper:
- Login to your computer's PlayStore or Amazon AppStore.
- Search for "Prepper" » Click "Install" to install Prepper
- Prepper will now be available on your windows start-menu.

Good start, but not quite there.

The most annoying part is that you have to use the +/- to add and remove quantity, when entering in initial inventory it makes it quite painful (slow).
Water is also not calculated properly, even with the unit set to 1,000 gal and a quantity of 1,000 it still says you are short with a combined total of 1,000,000 gallons. Had to test the prep function even though it not my primary need.
A simple scan in/out function would be fabulous for adding known items after shopping trips or removing multiple known items to prepare a meal.

I LOVE THE APP!! But... it would be much better if you could include non-food type items such as survival gear in your inventory. For instance I have two emergency stoves and four emergency blankets. I’d like to be able to add items like these into different categories. The app limits you to only adding food and water when it’s a good idea to stock up on other survival items as well.

I was hoping this was as good as people say but right out of the gate trying to scan things in inventory there is nothing in the database? Really? Ok so I should build the database from scratch, not even a a box of craft Mac and cheese. This was just the beginning. Seemed nicely laid out but I don’t have time.
