  • What I Needed Without the Clutter

    By P90Fan (Pcmac user)

This is a great app for beginning to intermediate the app players. I paid the $1.99 to upgrade and I felt it was a fair price. It has all the chords I need to play nearly every song that I can already play on the guitar (200+). As someone else mentioned it would be nice to have tuner feedback so I don't have to rely on my ears to tune perfectly, but I have a guitar tuner that will do that. I would also like to see an option that would allow me to save my own chord patterns for songs that I'm learning, so I don't have to flip through different pages to see a minor chord and a major chord, etc.

Quick start your skills with the the app using this clean and simple app. Just what you need to get off on the right foot since it does not clutter your thinking with advanced theory and overly complicated technique. This is especially useful when getting your feet wet since there is already enough to focus on when first learning ear hand coordination. Highly recommended by Cheese.
  • So far so good

    By JocelynPrice (Pcmac user)

I use this for the chords and am satisfied that they're so easy to navigate. The tuner does have a nice loop function, but I prefer the one that you can pay to obtain within the GuitarTuna app that registers the sound of your the app and gives feedback. Unfortunately, GuitarTuna doesn't have chords for ukes yet, so I'm using both apps. Both could benefit from a music theory lesson section. Oh, and you have to turn your phone off silent.
  • Oops

    By dunchloe (Pcmac user)

You asked me to review the app before I used it, but after I was nagged to upgrade to diminish the obnoxious ads that dominated the screen. Didn't even provide the courtesy of showing the charge for the upgrade. Well, your plan worked. Fortunately, I don't have to worry about what most apps cost but not everyone is as lucky as I've been. Classless. Maybe your app is great, maybe it's not great. But the grab for $.99 (your share?, probably) is not very nice. In the meantime, I'll get my the app tuned. Hopefully, others will NOT bother, opt instead for the dozens of free apps that are available.
