Software Features and Description

1. The Utah Air application employs Utah Division of Air Quality's new air quality alert system that consists of action alerts, represented by three basic symbols that signify the voluntary or mandatory actions (e.g., carpooling, wood burning) the public needs to adhere to the current pollution levels, and health guidance, based on the EPA’s Air Quality Index (AQI) that helps determine how the highest pollution level of the day will affect people with various health conditions.

2. Utah residents can check into the app daily to know when not to use wood and coal burning stoves or fireplaces, the best times to exercise outdoors, or make one consolidated trip for errands based on current conditions and trends.

3. The three-day forecast can help individuals plan ahead to adjust their travel plans or work schedule to avoid adding harmful emissions during winter inversions or during the summer Ozone season.

  • Great Upgrade

    By landi3337 (Pcmac user)

I really like the new interface. It’s more streamlined and looks more modern. The info we need is right there, easy to find. I’ve used this app for a number of years. The information is great, but it’s not always been stable. It’s also often been hampered by air monitoring stations that go offline. Hopefully the new version will be stable, and hopefully the stations will remain active. Thanks for providing this.
  • Handy if a little clunky...

    By skyav (Pcmac user)

Glad it's available and working again. Not liking the request to use location even when app not open. Why no stations in Provo? Old version was crashing on launch for me from June-December 2017). Also had non-standard navigation elements and charts sometimes were extremely distorted.
  • Used to love; can't use now

    By amrn123 (Pcmac user)

I used to love this app and I used it all the time. For the last month or so it doesn't work. Crashes on start up and I can't even open it. I'd like to be able to use it again, so I hope they can figure out the issue. Thanks! I have now deleted this app. I'm happy to reinstall once it's up and working again.
  • Crashes on launch every time

    By ThereAreNoMoreNicknames (Pcmac user)

I used to love this app but after the last couple of updates it simply doesn't work anymore. It crashes every time I try to launch it. When I reinstalled it, it would open, but provided a blank "counties" screen, without the ability to go back a step. This app, unfortunately, has become useless. I wish the developer would pay attention to these reviews.
