Or follow the guide below to use on PC:

If you want to install and use the QuizUp® app on your PC or Mac, you will need to download and install a Desktop App emulator for your computer. We have worked diligently to help you understand how to use this app for your computer in 4 simple steps below:

Step 1: Download an Android emulator for PC and Mac

Ok. First things first. If you want to use the application on your computer, first visit the Mac store or Windows AppStore and search for either the Bluestacks app or the Nox App . Most of the tutorials on the web recommends the Bluestacks app and I might be tempted to recommend it too, because you are more likely to easily find solutions online if you have trouble using the Bluestacks application on your computer. You can download the Bluestacks Pc or Mac software here

Step 2: Install the emulator on your PC or Mac

Now that you have downloaded the emulator of your choice, go to the Downloads folder on your computer to locate the emulator or Bluestacks application.
Once you have found it, click it to install the application or exe on your PC or Mac computer.
Now click Next to accept the license agreement.
Follow the on screen directives in order to install the application properly.
If you do the above correctly, the Emulator app will be successfully installed.

Step 3: for PC - Windows 7/8 / 8.1 / 10

Now, open the Emulator application you have installed and look for its search bar. Once you found it, type QuizUp® in the search bar and press Search. Click on QuizUp®application icon. A window of QuizUp® on the Play Store or the app store will open and it will display the Store in your emulator application. Now, press the Install button and like on an iPhone or Android device, your application will start downloading. Now we are all done.
You will see an icon called "All Apps".
Click on it and it will take you to a page containing all your installed applications.
You should see the icon. Click on it and start using the application.

Step 4: for Mac OS

Hi. Mac user!
The steps to use QuizUp® for Mac are exactly like the ones for Windows OS above. All you need to do is install the Nox Application Emulator or Bluestack on your Macintosh. The links are provided in step one

  • Too many ads, no option to buy ad free version?

    By Addie_Marie (Pcmac user)

I am so bummed, this used to be one of my favorite apps of all time. I have such great memories of playing with my brother while taking trains through Europe, or really any time we were together, laughing over outrageous questions or our outrageously incorrect answers. The wide array of topics is great (I mean, who knew Tea would be one of our favorite categories?!) and the app design is pretty good. However, the amount of ads is really disappointing. They take up so much space, and the frequency of video adds is outrageous. If there was a way to pay for an ad free version, I would in a heartbeat! I understand developers need to get paid, it just really is difficult to play now compared to 4 years ago when we first started. My other issue - maybe a bug - is that when my brother and I tried to play just now, our challenges weren’t being sent to the other. We tried multiple times with all push notifications turned on, and none went through. The issue was for both of us. So even if we were down to play despite the ads, this issue means we definitely won’t be. Hoping something changes so I can change my rating of an app that was once a favorite.
  • Good game, but terrible execution

    By Jazmo1 (Pcmac user)

This game is great, I love the questions and the community, though the ads are horrible. There are so many, and it is impossible to see a page on quiz up without looking at least one ad! I know because it's a free app they need to make money somehow, but really? Are they all necessary? Also, I am having a problem with a bug. About every 60 seconds from opening the app, if takes me to some sponsored website. Not clicking anything, and only in this app, it is extremely annoying. I can't play the game, read posts, or even enjoy the app because of this. And for that single player mode? Good idea in theory, but the fact that after each round you have to click that button is annoying. For the whole "wild card", that's just...no. If I'm answering questions about one topic, doing well, about to beat my high score, then the next question is about some foreign language, I'm not going to appreciate my victory taken away from me because I don't know Italian! If the whole reason is to expand the users horizons, fine idea, but doing so one question at a time over hundreds of topics isn't going to help. It's only going to frustrate the players greatly. Please change this feature!

Ok, I don’t want to start this review off on the wrong foot. I like this app. It’s fun and challenging. There are some ads, but they don’t interrupt your game. It’s a good game, with good intentions, turned rotten by corrupting money. Here’s how it goes. I had this game for maybe a month or two. I wanted to play a QuizUp game. I went into the app, found the quiz, and chose random opponent. I was playing, and suddenly, BAM! My phone switches to Safari, and opens up a webpage that says something about this phone being corrupted by Four virus, which is four viruses. The first time I dismissed it, thinking I accidentally clicked on an ad. This kept happening, interrupting my game and concentration. I texted someone a screenshot and they said it was a scam, and i should stop playing QuizUp. If you click on it, it will install a virus onto your phone. Apparently, QuizUp gets money for letting people do that, which means people are paying QuizUp to try to install viruses on our phone, get things like our credit card info, and our contacts. Therefore, unless you either a) want to be tricked into losing money or b) supporting apps who trick people into losing money, then I suggest that you do not download this app.
  • It's changed a lot and it's not all good

    By Sadie Kent (Pcmac user)

I have had this app for almost three years now and when I first downloaded it it was a great way to pass time now with so many changes it's become irrelevant. General design updates have made the app harder to navigate. Ads pop up while I am right in the middle of playing a topic and it's really annoying. Half way through playing a game I am no longer able to even click the options on the screen. And I have tried on other devices and it does the same things so it's not my phone. I do have positive feedback on this which are the only two reasons I didn't give it a one start rating. I like being able to create my own topics now. It gives people who are interested in other topics a chance to find something they like. However there are downsides because now there are like 20 different pages for one topic which is very unnecessary. And I like the new tournaments they are fun and give people incentive to broaden their topic selection. Overall I like the app, it's a good idea, it just needs some major changes back to the older simpler versions.
