If you want to install and use the Fantastical 2 for iPhone app on your PC or Mac, you will need to download and install a Desktop App emulator for your computer. We have worked diligently to help you understand how to use this app for your computer in 4 simple steps below:

Step 1: Download an Android emulator for PC and Mac

Ok. First things first. If you want to use the application on your computer, first visit the Mac store or Windows AppStore and search for either the Bluestacks app or the Nox App . Most of the tutorials on the web recommends the Bluestacks app and I might be tempted to recommend it too, because you are more likely to easily find solutions online if you have trouble using the Bluestacks application on your computer. You can download the Bluestacks Pc or Mac software here

Step 2: Install the emulator on your PC or Mac

Now that you have downloaded the emulator of your choice, go to the Downloads folder on your computer to locate the emulator or Bluestacks application.
Once you have found it, click it to install the application or exe on your PC or Mac computer.
Now click Next to accept the license agreement.
Follow the on screen directives in order to install the application properly.
If you do the above correctly, the Emulator app will be successfully installed.

Step 3: for PC - Windows 7/8 / 8.1 / 10

Now, open the Emulator application you have installed and look for its search bar. Once you found it, type Fantastical 2 for iPhone in the search bar and press Search. Click on Fantastical 2 for iPhone application icon. A window of Fantastical 2 for iPhone on the Play Store or the app store will open and it will display the Store in your emulator application. Now, press the Install button and like on an iPhone or Android device, your application will start downloading. Now we are all done.
You will see an icon called "All Apps".
Click on it and it will take you to a page containing all your installed applications.
You should see the icon. Click on it and start using the application.

Step 4: for Mac OS

Hi. Mac user!
The steps to use this app for Mac are exactly like the ones for Windows OS above. All you need to do is install the Nox Application Emulator or Bluestack on your Macintosh. The links are provided in step one

Edit: After this update the app no longer goes backwards by 2 months when you scroll to the top in list view, thank you Fantastical for making this 5 star adjustment. I primarily use the app in list view as a daily planner and organizer. When I scroll to the top of my list I don't want it to go back 2 months at a time and have to tap the month every time to reset to the current month. It is annoying to need to do this and easy enough to just scroll back within the calendar to need this useless feature. The lack of ability to turn this off is my biggest issue with the app. Also you cannot edit imported calendars like a holiday/birthday calendar so those calendars span six years and the events cannot be deleted. In order to make a holiday calendar I have to manually enter all of the holidays into my work calendar and just use it instead which is also annoying. The lack of being able to edit things like these are what is keeping this for me from being a 5 star app otherwise the app is perfect for my needs and still easily the best calendar app available.

NOTE: This app DOESN'T use your location all the time; it's only when you're using it. I've finally found what I was looking for in a calendar app! I didn't want anything fancy, just something easy-to-use and well made. The features that Fantastical has that I especially love are... the app icon badge with the current date, the option of a default event duration of 0 minutes, the ability to hide end times of events, and also to be able to open maps in Google Maps and links in Google Chrome. I love the dark theme option and how sharp and clean-looking everything is. I think it's awesome that if I want to add an event that's five years in the future, I don't have to scroll through years and years of calendars to get there. I think the only thing that I would change would be to be able to adjust the "List View" without having to go to the settings each time you do it. (To be able to switch back and forth between showing all events or just the current day's events.) But all in all, I will happily give this app five stars. 😊

I tmhave been using this app for almost two weeks now and it has completely transformed the way I interact with, and more importantly, how often I actually use my calendar! I’ve actually purchased several other calendar apps and while they all were supposed to be “amazing” ( at least according to the reviews), something about them made it seem too... daunting. Enter Fantastical. It’s really a big improvement over the standard calendar app and it is definitely worth the money. I love the natural language input function and the overall functionality of the app. It works extremely well and has many handy features like automatically adding an event to you calendar when it’s detected in your inbox (think: you purchased concert tickets and once you receive the confirmation email it will auto-create a fully filled in calendar event) With that being said, I would love some customizability in terms of the color scheme and the window layout. Also, GET RID OF THE “DOT SYSTEM” for tracking events. It’s really confusing and unacceptable to look at.
  • Allows Me Access to ALL My Calendar Data!

I have a habit of using the Apple Calendar app to keep track of my family’s activities and even medical information, because I write up the results of any doctor or veterinary visits, once they are complete. The stock app will fail to allow me to search for and reliably retrieve such info, once the data ages past a certain point. However, Fantastical WAS able to provide me with a COMPLETE search results list of calendar entries matching my search term(s), so I use it any time I need to find anything, since the stock Calendar app’s Search feature is unreliable, at best. We found Fantastical back when I NEEDED access to “old” calendar data that I KNEW existed, but that the stock Calendar app refused to locate for me. I love the fact that I can continue to use the app to which I am accustomed, and only need to use Fantastical when I need it for a data search; this is possible because anything I do in either app automatically bounces off the Cloud and populates the other app. SO COOL!

Please add support for location based weather and shared calendar updates from other users.
  • Duplicates all alert notifications on iOS 12.

Great app but it duplicates every single alert notification on iOS 12. Now, all my events have two “5 minute before” alerts instead of one. I’ve used multiple calendar apps and never have duplicate alert issues. As soon as I add Fantastical on my iPhone, all events get a duplicated alerts. If I remove one of the alerts, Fantastical adds it back.
  • Best in class calendar app

I bought this app on all of my devices. This is the best app that combines default Calendar+Reminders for you. One outstanding thing - it doesn’t need your credentials, they’re pulling data from your default iOS Calendar app, so they are always in sync. P.S. New watchOS complication that has a day of the week and date in the same field is excellent! ++ for that

My partner and I are very busy people and we both invested, wanting an improvement from the Apple calendar. She gave up on day five, finding the new way to enter appointments no easier. Fantastical didn’t “learn” things the way our normal calendar did, so the possible addresses and info didn’t fill in from the words of the activity. After weeks. And the reminder list is nowhere near as sophisticated as wonderlist. Money wasted because we went all in. It took a bit to get the calendars coordinated through the cloud for IPad and phone coordination. Looks pretty. Save your money.

I love this app and although it regularly updates, I’m looking for something bigger. A redesign of the app would be great! More themes

I wasn’t sure if I wanted a calendar app but have been eyeing this app for quite some time now. Let me just tell you it was the best decision I could’ve made! I love being able to write a sentence in and it gathers all the info and makes it into an event for me! Plus having my reminders right there and being able to add new ones just makes it that much better. Didn’t know a app could help my organize my life like the way you guys did! Thank you! 💙
