Download and install the Go Akamai app on your Windows 10,8,7 or Mac in 4 simple steps below:
- Download an Android emulator for PC and Mac:
Get either Bluestacks or the Nox App >> . We recommend Bluestacks because you can easily find solutions online if you run into problems while using it. Download Bluestacks Pc or Mac software Here >> .
- Install the emulator on your PC or Mac:
On your computer, goto the Downloads folder » click to install Bluestacks.exe or Nox.exe » Accept the License Agreements » Follow the on-screen prompts to complete installation.
- Using Go Akamai on PC [Windows 7/ 8/8.1/ 10/ 11]:
- Open the Emulator app you installed » goto its search bar and search "Go Akamai"
- The search will reveal the Go Akamai app icon. Open, then click "Install".
- Once Go Akamai is downloaded inside the emulator, locate/click the "All apps" icon to access a page containing all your installed applications including Go Akamai.
- Now enjoy Go Akamai on PC.

To get Go Akamai on Windows 11, check if there's a native Go Akamai Windows app here » ». If none, follow the steps below:
- Download the Amazon-Appstore » (U.S only)
- Click on "Get" to begin installation. It also automatically installs Windows Subsystem for Android.
- After installation, Goto Windows Start Menu or Apps list » Open the Amazon Appstore » Login (with Amazon account)
- For non-U.S users, Download the OpenPC software »
- Upon installation, open OpenPC app » goto Playstore on PC » click Configure_Download. This will auto-download Google Play Store on your Windows 11.
- Installing Go Akamai:
- Login to your computer's PlayStore or Amazon AppStore.
- Search for "Go Akamai" » Click "Install" to install Go Akamai
- Go Akamai will now be available on your windows start-menu.

It’s Fixed

Raised my rating. The app was just updated for iOS 12. Works well again. I used this each morning before I the app to work and again when I head hone. It’s very helpful in planning the best route to get where I need to the app.

Rated low because the street view is now broken. I am stuck looking at Dillingham which is what I last viewed before updating iOS.

Fails to live up to potential

This app could be so much more but instead it lets me down at every turn.
Apps like google maps and waze will give you more accurate info, more useful info and almost in real time.
The colored overlay on the freeway is inaccurate and only covers the freeway. Google maps app gives way more coverage and accuracy.
The traffic cams are still images and up to 5 mins old. And there no to tell which are offline without attempting to view it.
The drive times are extremely optimistic when there's no traffic and virtually useless when there is.
The incidents only covers pre planned construction events, not accidents or emergency road work.
The new "alerts" section is just a mobile browser showing a twitter feed. And one that is only updated a couple times a day at best. I'm not sure how that constitutes alerts.

Why doesn't the state market this app? When I see traffic on the cams, I'll take another route, ultimately freeing up traffic for everyone. The more people use it, the better traffic gets.

Actually found this app to be very helpful here. Born and raised in Hawaii so I know there's lots of traffic and accidents everywhere. This app is very easy to use and very plain and easy. Nicely done Hawaii.
