I hate the way netflix organizes it's lists; the lists are far too short and based on what netflix thinks you might like. Today this app told me that "Minions" had been added to their site I went and looked at all their lists and it wasn't on any of them... not even the children's list. The only way to find that movie was to do a search which I never would've known to do if the app hadn't told me about minions being available.
Could be very useful if the author fixes an interface flaw

Netflix’s interface changes during the past few years have made it increasingly hard to tell whether they're recommending videos my wife and I will actually like, or just videos that Netflix wants to promote. the app provides a workaround for this by displaying a list of videos available on Netflix along with the ratings from several rating sites (imdb, metacritic, rottentomatoes, flixter). the app also provides a way to use those ratings as a filter. In principle, this feature could be greatly useful. The problem - and unfortunately it's a big one - is that there's no way for the user to see a list of the filtered videos! Instead, there is just a "roulette" feature to choose one of them at random. This makes the filter nearly useless.

First off, I hate notifications so I made sure this app didn't push notifications. Somehow I still receive them only it's in another language and won't disappear unless I select one of the three options that pop up. I always pick the third selection, I have no idea what it says. Secondly, the ratings shown from (IMDB, Flixster, Rotten Tomatoes, etc) are incorrect. If you visit their actual sites some the movies don't even have ratings or they're much lower than that app shows it. Third, it does not add the films to my queue without me having to do it a few times, it always gives a error message the first couple tries. This app definitely has potential but is very misleading and not what I expected. It also doesn't show all the movies on Netflix which is what I was expecting it to do.

I was skeptical when I saw the app and read reviews. I was worried it would want my Netflix login. It did NOT! I downloaded the free version and was very satisfied. I paid the $.99 to get rid of the ads but they are not overly intrusive. This app really helps me navigate what's new on Netflix. Definitely worth it.
