What is ToxFox?
ToxFox is an app developed by the BUND e.V. that helps users detect harmful chemicals in everyday products. The app allows users to scan the barcode of a product and receive information about any harmful chemicals it may contain. The app covers over 250,000 cosmetic and body care products and also includes a feature called "Giftfrage" that helps users detect harmful chemicals in other everyday products such as toys, household items, and electronics. The app also allows users to contact manufacturers directly to ask about the presence of harmful chemicals in their products.
1. Ob hormonelle Schadstoffe, Nanopartikel oder Mikroplastik – der ToxFox deckt sie für Dich auf! Scanne dazu einfach den Barcode auf der Verpackung.
2. Mit der Giftfrage findet der ToxFox Schadstoffe in Alltagsprodukten wie Spielzeug, Haushaltsware, Hygieneprodukten, Möbel, Teppichen, Schuhen, Textilien und elektronischen Geräten.
3. Anderenfalls kannst Du mit dem ToxFox direkt beim Hersteller nachfragen, ob das Produkt Schadstoffe enthält.
4. Der BUND den ToxFox entwickelt, damit Du Kosmetik und Alltagsprodukte auf Schadstoffe prüfen kannst.
5. Über eine Million Menschen nutzen den ToxFox des BUND e.V. - kostenfrei.
6. Schädliche Chemikalien können sich im Körper anreichern und langfristig zu Erkrankungen wie Diabetes, Krebs oder Unfruchtbarkeit führen.
7. Der ToxFox gibt Dir sofort Auskunft zu mehr als 250.000 Kosmetik- und Körperpflegeprodukten.
8. Die Infos landen bei Dir und in unserer Datenbank – wo sie für alle Verbraucher*innen sofort sichtbar sind.
9. Hersteller begreifen: Produkte sollen frei von Schadstoffen sein! Und belastete Produkte werden zu Ladenhütern.
10. Liegen bereits Infos zu schädlichen Inhaltsstoffen vor, werden diese sofort angezeigt.
11. Der ToxFox wird so immer schlauer – und mit ihm seine Nutzer*innen.
