1. Wind Compass gets your current location and then updates the current weather conditions based on that location.

2. Wind Compass uses the Forecast.io Weather data to provide accurate conditions where you are.

3. As an added bonus, Wind Compass shows you which way is North so if you are inside or turned around, you can always know which way is north, along with the current wind direction.

5. iPods can still get direction info but the compass will not update real time.

6. *NOTE* Compass functionality within the app requires physical compass functionality built in.

7. Forecast.io uses many sources and creates as accurate of a forecast as possible for your location.

9. *NOTE* Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life.

Install Wind Compass app on your Windows in 4 steps below:

Download an Android emulator for PC:
Get either Bluestacks or the Nox App >> . We recommend Bluestacks because you can easily find solutions online if you run into problems while using it. Download Bluestacks PC software Here >> .

Install the emulator:
On your computer, goto the Downloads folder » click to install Bluestacks.exe or Nox.exe » Accept the License Agreements » Follow the on-screen prompts to complete installation.

Using Wind Compass on PC [Windows 10/ 11]:

Open the Emulator app you installed » goto its search bar and search "Wind Compass"
The search will reveal the Wind Compass app icon. Open, then click "Install".
Once Wind Compass is downloaded inside the emulator, locate/click the "All apps" icon to access a page containing all your installed applications including Wind Compass.
Now enjoy Wind Compass on PC.

For Windows 11, check if there's a native Wind Compass Windows app here » ». If none, follow the steps below:

To get started, Download the OpenPC software »
- Upon installation, open OpenPC app » goto "Playstore on PC" » click "Configure_Download" button. This will auto-download and install PlayStore on your computer.

To use Wind Compass,
- Login to the PlayStore we just installed
- Search for "Wind Compass" » then Click "Install".
- Wind Compass will now be available on your Windows start-menu.

This app is great for determining the app speed and direction. I have a lot of trouble in winter with pipes freezing on one side of my house that is exposed to the the app. I use this app to determine the app chill in the side and it’s been a pipe saver. Also love it for kayaking on open water and for monitoring driving during windy days in my high profile RV. Data is accurate and app is uncomplicated and easy to use. Just a note if you have a magnetic case it may mess up the compass function, but that is a phone issue not an app issue and it doesn’t affect the accuracy of the info.

Very simple an easy to read. Not a lot of clutter with different layers of junk to go through. Does everything that it says it will do. Had a little glitch with getting rid of the ads. But I got a response to my inquiry in just a few hours and their recommendations solved the problem. The free version is just as good. I just hate the ads. It was well worth the $1.99.

I live in Southern California just south of the horrible fires raging. This app has given me the best information about the Santa Ana winds in my own area. These winds fueled all the California fires. I have been using it for days to check the immediate the app velocity and to know what to expect in the future - this includes temperature forecasts as well as the app. Thanks for this vital information when really needed!

If you want a Great the app app this is it. No fancy graphics, no funky clutter. But, it also gives you your local weather or choose another location and get that weather and a couple of other great weather info also. Just very simple and just very easy to use. Just what I wanted and happy, happy, happy to have it. GREAT the app APP - you need to get it. Jim Whitehouse, Texas
