Interesting and well made
By Sunsage (Pcmac user)
The thought of an old calculator game certainly caught my interest.
I was pleasantly surprised with the short video that played upon the initial app opening. I'd planned on looking up the history of the game, but the app saved me the effort.
As far as the app itself, it seems well constructed and user friendly. Buttons work correctly and are in easy-to-use positions. The calculator has some nice visual detail to it (such as the scratches in the numbers), although the border of the menu buttons is more interesting looking than the border of the number buttons. The music and sound effects are pleasant (yet easily muteable in-game via a toggle button). Although I haven't gotten to a high level, I haven't encountered any glitches. Level changing confused me a little, and I had to refer to the instructions to figure it out. It makes sense how it's designed, but not obvious to a new player.
The game is simple to understand, yet increasingly difficult to progress to higher levels. It requires fast reflexes due to the moving "enemies" and knowing the number pad without hesitation. It sounds easy enough, but I still catch myself having to think of where in the 3x3 numbers are located sometimes! I can't say I'd play this game for hours on end, but it'll be in my permanent games folder.
Thank you for making this game :)
