  • Extensions Don’t Work

    By jpfulton (Pcmac user)

While the interface is beautiful, the (free) extensions don’t work and don’t enable the promised features rendering the app pretty but not useful.
  • Not satisfied software for go customers

    By cynic0000 (Pcmac user)

I have used 2 other models for IPad or PC. in Ipad model: Pandnet is great for its screen and archive file, allowing study after game. In PC model: Winigc, developed by Hui Huang. It is the best software for Go game for its advantages: a. simplicity and fast, run very fast; b. during game you can dublicate the game and study it; you can save the game for your archive. I hope this app can reach the same level as above two.
  • OK Go app - needs some work to be great

    By xddex (Pcmac user)

I used this app a while ago when they first were developing the app. It seemed promising then, but doesn’t seem like it’s been updated for years. To me this is just a beta that’s been thrown on the App Store for sale. I can’t say it really justifies the price at the moment. I hope the devs turn this into a real go platform app. It has the potential for it. The app needs better support for: • Internet go servers. Maybe integrate with Nova GS (we all know KGS integration is totally out the window). IGS integration is almost an afterthought. • Position Variations. Take a page from the SmartGo iPad app, or CGoban, this is a key feature (especially for teaching games). You shouldn’t need to create a variation branch, you should be able to just click an alternate stone placement to trigger a new path • GameCenter integration. Why can’t the app challenge users through GameCenter instead of IGS. This would be phenominal. • Full Screen • UI re-thinking - It’s hard to get to the game navigation elements, hard to find the go servers, etc… With some updates this could be a great app. Even if they released that as a Goban2, I’d happily pay full price again for a real mac-based Go app.
  • Solid Go application...

By Me in Phoenix (Pcmac user)

This is a solid Go application. It’s stable and has a pretty rich feature set. I’m a new player thrying to get better. The ability to play against multiple engines, as well as online makes this a great tool for me. My only gripe is that unfortunately the Website that your are directed to when selecting “Help” returns a 404, “Not Found” error. Searching the Websire yeilds no hits for any manuals describing the features in some depth with descriptions on how to use them :( All in all, the application is worth it for me …but it has SO much potential to be better with a little polish ;)
