2. UCEdge client is Toshiba Unified Communications client application that integrates all business users communications for Toshiba Strata CIX, IPedge, and VIPedge customers.

3. UCedge client can also control the desktop phone or other softphone to make a call.

4. It also provides the Follow Me, the single number reach, capability, and the Mobility capability, extension dialing capability, from the cell phone.

5. The application does not interfere with the ability to make a phone call or access the voice mail of the mobile device itself.

Install UCEdge app on your Windows in 4 steps below:

Download an Android emulator for PC:
Get either Bluestacks or the Nox App >> . We recommend Bluestacks because you can easily find solutions online if you run into problems while using it. Download Bluestacks PC software Here >> .

Install the emulator:
On your computer, goto the Downloads folder » click to install Bluestacks.exe or Nox.exe » Accept the License Agreements » Follow the on-screen prompts to complete installation.

Using UCEdge on PC [Windows 10/ 11]:

Open the Emulator app you installed » goto its search bar and search "UCEdge"
The search will reveal the UCEdge app icon. Open, then click "Install".
Once UCEdge is downloaded inside the emulator, locate/click the "All apps" icon to access a page containing all your installed applications including UCEdge.
Now enjoy UCEdge on PC.

To get started, Download the OpenPC software »
- Upon installation, open OpenPC app » goto "Playstore on PC" » click "Configure_Download" button. This will auto-download and install PlayStore on your computer.

To use UCEdge,
- Login to the PlayStore we just installed
- Search for "UCEdge" » then Click "Install".
- UCEdge will now be available on your Windows start-menu.

✔ Pros:

- Ability to make outgoing calls through CIX670

- Potential for additional functionality such as voice mail indication and ability to mark voice mails as read or unread within the app

☹ Cons:

- App does not remain connected to server when iPhone screen locks, making it impossible to receive calls

- User interface needs improvement

- Software bugs on iPad prevent saving

- Lack of call thru options and call divert not working

Doesn't remain connected

What good is a VoIP app if it doesn't remain connected to its server? Every time my iPhone screen goes dark and it locks, this app doesn't remain connected to its server. Can't receive calls when it's not connected. At least I can make outgoing calls through our CIX670. This app needs to run in the background. Back to the drawing board!

The user interface isn't getting any better but still has a long way to go. Software bugs on the iPad, doesn't allow you to save.

This is junk. Coming from a toshiba certified tech. If I can't figure it out then how am I supposed to sell it to customers? Where are the call thru options and why does call divert not work?
