Software Features and Description

1. Data from previous sessions can then be compared to give a deeper understanding of how your body is changing over time, for example by directly comparing the graphs for equivalent sessions, viewing statistics such as max, mean and resting heart rate across sessions, or seeing the proportion of time spent in different heart rate zones aggregated over weeks or months.

2. Knowing your current heart rate is useful, but seeing in real time how it varies over a longer period gives you much more information, especially when trying to understand how your body is responding to a training plan.

3. Heart Graph allows you to record new data and see your heart rate graph in real time, as well as importing existing data from Apple Health.

4. The trigger for moving from one set to the next can be a simple time gap (“wait 30 seconds”), or be based on heart rate to allow a specific amount of recovery before continuing (“wait until heart rate is below 120bpm”).

5. Heart Graph can be used for all types of aerobic exercise including running, cycling, rowing or gym work, and of course you can also use it to study your normal heart rate for general health reasons.

6. When you’re exercising, Heart Graph will keep track of where you are in the session and what’s coming up next, alerting you when it’s time to stop or move on.

7. Beyond the basics, a single, one-off In-App Purchase will enable the Premium Features, giving you access to more in-depth analysis tools and the ability to design your training sessions in the app.

8. The outcome is a structured plan that adapts to how your body is responding each time you do that session.

9. These Planned Workouts split a session into small pieces, for example sets at the the gym, or intervals on a bike.

  • Watch app overrides the power save mode, the phone app stops recording on its own

    By Runw/Link (Pcmac user)

    1. The app disregards the power save mode in the watch’s workout app. The power save mode turns off the optical the app rate sensor to conserve battery when the workout app is running. The workout app was opened & started first. The power save mode turned off the optical sensor. Then, the this app app was opened and started. This turned on (the green light of) the watch’s optical the app rate sensor despite the power save mode being turned on while the workout app is running. The watch and the this app app are connected to a polar strap. The this app app is recording from the polar strap. The optical sensor is reading the the app rate of a couch arm. There is no reason for the this app app to override the power saving mode especially when it is connected to a chest strap sensor. 2. The watch app on apple watch 4 (with iOS 5.2.1), will not stop nor pause. The stop/pause commands do not always pop up with tapping the screen. Even if they pop up, pressing the stop or pause buttons do not always work. The app will re start and continue to run from where it was when you pressed stop/pause buttons. The app will even re-open if u close the app. I had to remove app to stop the the app rate app from running. 3. Phone this app app still stops recording on its own. This varies from stopping within minutes or after hours into the recording.
  • Review my heart rate after every run!

By running for fun too (Pcmac user)

I’ve been using the the app rate app for a few years and like to see how I have to work harder now to sustain a higher the app rate. My goal is to train 20% of the time at an intense level and it’s easy to see if I need to back off or push harder. I like being able to adjust my zones because I have an exceptionally high maximum the app rate and standard zones based on age don’t apply. I also like to check my recovery time by making a time based chart that I can easily delete. I always make notes about my run and then do a copy paste of the notes into my calendar. If you’re a data junkie this is a great app. I wish there was a way to combine it with a pace and elevation chart. Someday.
  • Great app for monitoring SVT

    By Okie Quakie (Pcmac user)

I have a the app condition called SVT which is apparently random episodes of elevated the app rate often above 200 bpm When it happens I put on my the app rate monitor arm band and link to this app. It works great as a record of episodes and allows me to add notes such as what I ate or did prior to the episode so I can try to figure out the triggers for SVT. I also note what actions seem to stop the SVT. Having been to the hospital ER several times I was able to verify that this app along with my arm band monitor display exactly the same readings as the ER equipment. I hope the app support continues as I’ve got dozens of recorded episodes with notes that I’d hate to lose
  • Life changing, and easy to use

    By Pinklifehandbook (Pcmac user)

I purchased the paid version and have been using it for three years now. Everything I need is available any simple to use in her face. For example I can see my the app rate sent from my Apple Watch and it’s classified I work out. For example one might say cycle or it might say strength training or it might say yoga. If I don’t like the default name I can change it. I can compare my the app rate graph between several workouts. I can see the detailed graph for one workout and also look at the time spent in each HR zone. I can use default settings or customize my HR zones. Seeing this data is valuable.
