This is a great app but the level of excitement could be raised with the following options: (1) being able to choose your partner's level of aggressiveness. "Conservative" would eliminate complaints that your partner overbids you, the more aggressive settings would not let the bid go to the opponents for under 125 points & THROW POINTS when it's obvious you might take the trick; (2) allow your partner to call trumps when you take the bid and have an equal number of cards in each color. The penalty is that the bid is automatically raised by 5 points; (3) allow the option to "Shoot the Moon" and win the game if you play a perfect hand (perfect being defined as either taking every point, or to make it even more difficult, taking every trick). The last two options are popular in East Tennessee where I grew up playing Rook. Thanks again for developing this app!

First of course is multiplayer but until that is worked out needs to be customizable. Lots of variations on this game. My family in NC don’t even play with the Rook card. We always considered that adding too much luck. Instead whoever takes the last trick gets 20points and also the cards in the kitty. Also, playing to 300 is too short. Need to play to 500. We play “shoot the moon” for 240points plus a last gasp blind “shoot the moon” for 480. Still right now this is a lot of fun, but frankly Zeus is not a very good partner. He doesn’t live by our motto “you can’t them to the bank”

WILL THE DEVELOPER PLEASE SET YOUR ALGORITHM TO DEAL CARDS RANDOMLY????? IT’S SO FRUSTRATING THAT THE PROGRAM KNOWS WHAT’S IN MY HAND AND THEREFORE CHEATS FIR ITSELF!!!!!! You'll pull your hair out in frustration at this game. It's impossible to beat an opponent that knows what cards you're holding and plays accordingly. It's obvious in this game that the logarithm doesn't randomly "deal" cards. Your opponent magically has the cards they need to set you. If you bid 90 without the Rook they almost always have the Rook. Then they will "magically" lead with the one 14 you don't have. Then their partner "magically" has the 10 of that suit and you are already set. It's cheating and that's frustrating. Also, no human would play as stupidly as your partner "Zeus." Your opponents aren't so stupid. They make the plays for each other that your partner is too stupid to make. (For instance, realizing the card you just played is the highest left in the suit and playing points.) There is no random distribution of cards. The majority of the time your computer opponents will get the better cards. Add to that the stupidity of your partner and you'll be screaming at the app as I am prone to do. I would love for the algorithm to be changed to randomly distribute cards, for the computer intelligence to increase, and for you to be able to change partners.

Opposing Partners know what cards each has... it is hard to beat stacked cards but still fun when you can... It makes winning better... Need to be able to make the ROOK worth 10 Points... It is an easier advantage to the winning bidder when the ROOK is 20 points... I have played ROOK for 65 years and am now 76 YOA... ALWAYS made The ROOK worth 10 Points so that the Winning Bidder does not have a one sided Advantage... Still giving 5 Stars because it is closer to playing Real ROOK than Hearts or Spades where the Cards are Stacked even worse.... Make Rook 10 Points and this Game will be close to perfect....
