What is SwitchList? SwitchList is a Mac program designed for model railroad enthusiasts to automatically generate lists of freight cars to switch on their layout. The program offers a user-friendly graphical interface for setting up and printing out switch lists, making it easy to adjust available cargos for more realistic traffic flows. The program also allows for realistic routing of different railroad's empty freight cars to different staging yards and assigns freight cars based on the owner of the car.

Install SwitchList app on your Windows in 4 steps below:

Download an Android emulator for PC:

Install the emulator:
On your computer, goto the Downloads folder » click to install Bluestacks.exe or Nox.exe » Accept the License Agreements » Follow the on-screen prompts to complete installation.

Using SwitchList on PC [Windows 10/ 11]:

Open the Emulator app you installed » goto its search bar and search "SwitchList"
The search will reveal the SwitchList app icon. Open, then click "Install".
Once SwitchList is downloaded inside the emulator, locate/click the "All apps" icon to access a page containing all your installed applications including SwitchList.
Now enjoy SwitchList on PC.

Amazing Program!

This application is fantastic! Having used other this app generators like "Shipit!", I was more than surprised that this program enabled me to be up and running my small bedroom sized shelf layout in under 15 minutes. Finally a this app generator that doesn't require hours of tinkering to get it to run right. I love the ability to view the switchlists on the iPad too! And it's free? Sheesh! I couldn't be happier!
Great Program for Small to Medium-Sized Layouts

I have used this extensively with the operators that come to my railroad about once every other month. Everyone compliments me on how nice teh switch lists are. Some even thought that I had hand written them. Go to the author’s website and ready the tips for getting started with the program. Looking forward to some more great features.

Once you get this all set up, it is a fantastic way to generate ops for the pike. Reasonably simple to use and generates all kinds of great reports. Captures the feel of “real” railroading very well. The ability to change the style of the output is fantastic. You can generate any era or type of report, including waybill cards for card systems. Cannot recommend enough!
