Finicky.

Every time I try to do something with the video I’m watching, I end up on a new video. I try to double tap to rewind, I’m on the previous video in the playlist. OK, no problem, I’ll just hit the next button right? Nope, because the next button is not going to take you back to the video you were just watching, it’s going to take you to another video that they want you to watch. So now you have to go find the video you were watching to keep watching it. One top of that, if you make the wrong move, you’re now swiping back-and-forth between videos like tinder matches. I’m sure it was made to be convenient but it’s more annoying than anything because 99% of the time I don’t know what video is next on the playlist and I probably don’t want to watch it. Why would you make it like this? It really ruins the user experience. You’re basically forcing me to watch videos that I don’t want to watch and I’m not going to watch. Seems like they only do this to get you to watch more advertisements. It only benefits them. Because every time I accidentally flip a video, once I get back to where I was, now I’m watching an advertisement. And I refuse to pay them that ridiculous price for you to print. I’ve decided to just start using other websites. There’s too many other options for them to do this.
A Small Detail That’s Driving Me Crazy.

Will still rate it 5 Stars because this is definitely one of my most used apps, and I’m sure plenty of other people can say the same. Despite how great YT is, there’s this one “lag” (I don’t quite know what to call it). Half the time I go to the comments and want to look at the replies under a certain comment, it won’t let me view them. I’ll press the “view replies” button a large number of times but quite literally nothing happens. Only way I myself can fix it, is to refresh the tab. Then when that happens sometimes I can’t even find the comment again. Even in general that is just an irritating thing to deal with. However, this could just be a problem with my phone. I’m not smart enough to tell the difference haha. If you have managed to stumble upon this review, just wanted to say thanks for the hard work, but also please acknowledge my frustration lol. -Syd

i love this app, i use it almost every day. the one issue i have is that (it didn’t used to be this way, but it’s been doing it and won’t go away) when i have a video and want to make it full screen, it doesn’t matter if i click the full screen button or tilt my phone, it glitches and only shows me a corner of the video. it cuts the screen into fourths basically and the top left one is the bottom of the video and the other pieces are just gray or something. it’s SUPER frustrating and won’t go away. a few months ago i didn’t have this problem. then a while back i had a similar issue coming out of full screen. it would cut off half of my screen when i minimized the video by tilting my phone upwards and i would have to either close out of the app, or swipe down from my video to fix it. i love the content, accessibility, recommended, etc. but these two things affect like everything i watch. it may just be me but it’s been so annoying!
Shouldn't the Top Comment be the one with the most thumbs up?

I'm loving the app and the new design to the comments are pretty good, though it will take some time to get used to. The only thing I have against it, still, was being able to view the Top Comments of a video versus the Newest Comments. The Newest Comments were easy to view and were up-to-date on the app, comments posted like "45 seconds ago" and "9 seconds ago" were cool to see. However, Top Comments were all over the place as the Top Comment (after pressing the Top Comments option three times) would result in a comment with several hundred likes, while a comment further down would have several thousand. Maybe that Top Comment (with the several hundred likes) was gaining "likes" rapidly that the app couldn't pick up, or maybe the Top Comments option needs more work. I do not know, but it definitely would be a idea to go that way. It would give the app a cooler angle of getting people to view videos, kind of like Reddit's system of karma if you need more convincing.
