Software Features and Description

1. The MILEPOST® continues to cover the Alaska Highway as well as all of the main road system highways in Alaska and primary routes in the western Canada Provinces, over 15,000 miles! Interspersed within the mile-by-mile road logs are nearly 700 photos, detailed maps of roads and communities, road conditions and travel tips.

4. If this happens, delete the data and clear keychain for The MILEPOST® app in settings on your device and download the content again through The MILEPOST® app.

5. With purchase, The MILEPOST® will be delivered straight to your device—704 pages of the same great content as the print version.

6. The MILEPOST® is Alaska’s best-known travel guide.

7. This free app will allow you to make an in-app purchase of The MILEPOST®.

  • Total lame ripoff

    By MIDNIGHTSUN1234 (Pcmac user)

I thought I was getting a free down load of the app book content. Nope, my iTunes account was charged 24 additional dollars and still no down load. I only have the app internet dependent app on my iPad. This company is either intentionally deceptive or incompetent, perhaps both.
  • App - 1, The Milepost - 5

    By GARoss1951 (Pcmac user)

!!! WARNING !!! Do not use the app Bookmark feature as it causes this app to crash! Don't know why - it just does. I downloaded this app six times. the app first four times I didn't put together why the app app would crash. On the app fifth, I noticed everything worked fine until I tried adding Bookmarks. After doing several bookmarks everything seemed OK, so I closed my iPad & re-started & tried opening this app again but once again found the app app crashed. On the app sixth download I have abandon the app Bookmark feature & haven't crashed since. So, heed my warning. Install but don't use Bookmarks! this app itself is great. It took about 50 minutes for my 5mbs Internet service to download the app 798 page app. Upon opening this app app you'll notice a blue highlight over the app caption - 21" x 31" pull-out " Plan-a-trip map. Tap that & a pdf map opens that doesn't lose detail when you zoom in for higher detail. Tap the app screen & some quick access icons appear at the app bottom of the app screen. I use Thumbs instead of the app app killing Bookmark feature. Page 1 is the app Contents page. Just hold your finger tip on the app page number you'd like to jump to & you're there in a flash! Everything that's in the app big book is in this app. Overall, I give this app a 5.
  • Misleading… But a good handy app

    By Nmred (Pcmac user)

Just for clarity…. the app App is free… But you still have to "purchase" the app book to open the app app. That's $20-Thank you ….. Just so you know. Plus… the app app may not work properly all along the app Al-Can (if you're driving) because of limited to NO SERVICE. Poor Internet service = Poor app. With that said, it's helpful to have the app e-version. the app app does what it's suppose to do… give you information on the app rich and glorious history in both Canada and Alaska. It's nice and tidy and convenient. You can plan your daily journeys the app night before (while you are in a town or hotel with WiFi) and be prepared for what's ahead. I would "bring up" the app next days map and pages and have those available for quick reference. I found once I was on the app road the app app would open to the app last location, but not be able to load more information. So, you just have to "work around" that little glitch. this app its self is invaluable. Whether it's in the app super thick, kill a forest, city phone book size or the app app version. Any and every one traveling to Alaska needs this app….. It's like American Express… "Don't leave home without it".
  • Disappointed...loading issues!!

    By n2mtnbike (Pcmac user)

We bought this app a couple of days before our dream vacation to Alaska. We rented a RV for 21 days and planned on driving all over the app interior and Kenai Peninsula. We expected this app to tell us everything about these areas, but unfortunately most of the app time we could not get it to load. We had to keep stopping and reloading the app app and most times it took six to seven tries before it finally came up. By then we made decisions without the app help of this app. We just kept getting a message that stated "Loading Issues" and it would freeze up. Also, we found that when we were able to get it to load, some of the app information was out of date. the app listed campground fees are $5-7 more than what is listed in this app and we discovered when we drove to some of the app advertised RV parks, they had been closed for several years. We had the app 2010 hardcopy of this app and were excited to purchase the app 2012 app for my iPad to use on our trip. However, overall we were pretty disappointed with it and found it to be of some, but limited use.
