I'm pleased! The interaction is intuitive and doesn't compete with the concepts for your attention. There's some grace in the drag and drop so you don't have to place items perfectly. The "show me" feature is perfectly paced and helpful for the parent if you're not familiar with the hands-on the app analogue. The settings give good control over which facts appear.

We were all more than delighted to find Bead Facts as it is an application perfectly suited to teach addition and subtraction facts using quantities rather than just counting. Bead Facts is a bit more advanced than just a counting bead frame. Te app does an outstanding job of teaching quantity addition and subtraction after children know counting. It reinforces number combinations and is one children can use for quite a while. This app has a full range of settings so that parents can select the numerals with which the child works or just let the game select them. One of our favorite features is the "Show me" where the game demonstrates an ideal way to use all the great parts of the activity. At our school, we are so glad we found this app and have now also bought the other apps from this group. Each costs just a few dollars and is more than worth the investment.

What a wonderful app! Even though it may have been originally designed for younger students, I can see it working particularly well for older students with learning disabilities. I wish I had had something kinesthetic like this when I was learning math - my parents would have loved it too! No more tears. Just fabulous!
Waste of money!

There are much better apps out there than this one. You have to move a group of beads to do the problems rather than counting them one by one, so as far as I am concerned it doesn't show counting at all, only quantity. At the bottom where you are suppose to "see" how the problem works it doesn't make sense. There is no way a first grader can use this tool to understand the concept of math, especially subtraction. What you see is what you get, there is very little customization except to allow you to pick how high in numbers you want the math problems to get. Mad I spent my money on this app, had to buy a different one. One star given only so you know I didn't make mistake by not rating it.
