  • Google Music Lovers Rejoice!

    By WildN0rth (Pcmac user)

This is the player you've been looking for! I've owned just about every Google Music Desktop player out there, and this one is by far the best. Even includes an EQ! So far I've encountered no bugs. However, this appears to be strictly a player. For managing your music (adding and deleteing playlists, purchasing or uploading music, etc) you are still required to use google music in your browser of choice.
  • No bueno

    By kruceo (Pcmac user)

Crashes easily, not registering that magic keyboard is installed so keyboard shortcuts aren't functional, UI is slow to populate and struggles more and more if you are impatient and continue clicking around. I hoped this would allow me to have a desktop application for google music but it seems that this isn't the one. I welcome the dev team to reach out and help solve my problems. If they do, I'll be more then happy to update the review to 5 stars if it fits my needs.
  • Give me the option to turn off these ugly Play icons in the interface

    By Quality reviewer (Pcmac user)

They just mess up my sensibilities… I want the ability to turn this off…you can most likely figure out a better way of letting us know what the source of the music is… maybe text? maybe a more monochrome (black & white) icon? Also… why is there so much space in between the albums? You see what iTunes does? Do exactly what they do… there doesn’t need to be like a football field in between one album and the next. Also… why does the song & album title show up in the menu bar (but no album cover), but there’s a random album cover in the bottom left hand corner with no text? Like seriously you have iTunes right there which is showing you what to do design wise… either do it better than them or copy them. Also they make you install Magic Keys to use the keyboard shortcuts… Radiant Player (open source client) doesn’t make me do that… why do I need to install a separate application?
  • Update: Would recommend, though it has some very minor bugs

    By Tayman46 (Pcmac user)

I've been using this for about a week, my library is over ten thousand songs on google play so the web browser just doesn’t cut it on a smaller screen like my macbook pro. The app is easy to navigate, understand, and hasn't crashed unexpectedly on me yet. But beware if you skip multiple songs in a row the app takes 20-30 seconds to load. If you mess with it before it is finished loading, it'll take twice as long to finish, you are better off closing and opening the program. I'm sure it has to do with downloading the cover art and loading the song for each song, making it very inefficient, though this might depend on google's speed. I'm sure this is a simple fix, I would still recommend this app to anyone who has uploaded their entire library to google play like I did. On another note today I noticed the volume is a lot quieter when I play it back through google play vs iTunes. This could just be my computer, who knows. Update 6/13: I could not be happier with this application, the developer is spot on with the updates, worth every penny. All access works perfectly, took the developer only a couple of days to update it. The buggs mentioned above have all been adressed.
