  • Used to be great

    By Aummy (Pcmac user)

I used to use this app every day to check all sorts of games and stats, HOWEVER, they’ve made an update this year in 2019 in which the app is utterly and completely useless. The way to view schedules are garbage, you can’t view them by game, finding player stats and info is very difficult now, and overall this app is complete trash. If they want people to continue using it they better revert back to the old ways, because this is an absolute joke for an app in 2019. Update: The reviews about how much everyone hates the changes to this app continue to pour in, yet there is no effort of any change on the app’s part. This is a pathetic excuse for an app compared to what was our last year and before. I continue to only use a computer to check minor league stats and standings as the way the app is designed is so utterly poor it is unusable. Revert back to the old changes or continue to lose attention from fans you desperately need.
  • What happened?

Why did you feel the need to “fix” this app. It worked perfectly well for the last 3 years. This new update has ruined The Who the app experience on my smart phone. We no longer can see a teams schedule by the month. That makes it hard to get a visual for where they will be and plan accordingly. Why do we now need to be redirected to a website when choosing to see the box score? Why doesn’t it go to the most current game happening when you choose your team. I have to scroll to today’s game for some reason. Why when i pick to watch do I have to constantly pick double A. It keeps returning to triple every time. Also why do we have to keep signing back in every single day. Get it together. Who ever redesigned this app needs to understand what it is like to be a fan of the the app. This app is complete crap and I want it back the way it was. If it isn’t broke don’t fix it!
  • We all make mistakes

I also once hired my unqualified nephew to redesign my product because my sister and mom guilted me into it. I also thought the half-baked ideas he gleaned from his half semester at community college before dropping out sounded at minimum different than what we were already doing. I also lost revenue and respect as a result of his ineptitude and my own terrible decisions. (Hang on. That's not what happened with this app? Oh.) Well, I also worked for a group that provided an efficient and satisfactory service, which meant they really didn't need much from me. This made me frightened they might begin to see me as dead weight as there was little reason for me to work on something that already functioned so well. In order to justify my position with the company, I needed to implement a complete overhaul of the product to make it so unbearable they would need to keep me on staff for eternity to undo all of the problems my "improvements" created. Problems such as paying customers bailing like rats on a ship. (That's the one. Feels good. Feels right.) At least 75% of the streams no one will ever get to see via the app are theoretically in HD now. Y'know, 15 years after HD became standard. Maybe if I delete and download the app an eighth time it will work. Maybe? It might be working ... nope, it was just gas.
  • New user, very disappointed

    By evcorder (Pcmac user)

I’m new to following the app games closely, because my home town, Amarillo, just got a team. I was excited in the offseason when I found out there was an app supposedly similar to MLB atbat for minor league games. When they FINALLY updated it and added the Sod Poodles the day before the season, however, it became nothing like the At-Bat and basically useless. Everything you could want to look at (Box Scores, Highlights, Audio from the games) just takes you in a pop up window and loads it on the the app site. If I wanted to do that, I’d just pull up the site myself. Plus, I turned on the notifications for the Sod Poodles and haven’t gotten a single one. I’ve had better luck turning on Twitter notifications from the team and listening to games in the TuneIn radio app. A refreshed version of last year’s app seems like it would be a lot better. Not sure why this route was chosen.
