What is AK-7 Core MIDI Keyboard?
AK-7 Core is a wireless MIDI keyboard controller app that works on iPad, iPhone, and iPod Touch. It features a realistic 3D piano keyboard that can be zoomed and slid around to find the range of notes you want to play. It works with Apple's Garageband, MainStage, Logic, and any other DAW that supports MIDI input. The app also includes a switchable piano sound set for practicing anywhere without a MIDI connection.
1. AK-7 Core is a wireless MIDI keyboard controller for iPad, iPhone and iPod Touch.
2. On an iPad, it's possible to use the Camera Connection Kit and a USB to MIDI cable to make a direct wired MIDI connection to your music workstation if there's no wifi available.
3. If you are using an older device, we'd recommend you use our older "AK-7 Midi Keyboard" app instead.
4. It works great with Apple's Garageband, MainStage and Logic as well as any other DAW which supports MIDI input.
5. The wireless MIDI works using CoreMIDI so so additional drivers are needed on a Mac.
6. It also includes a switchable piano sound set for practicing anywhere without a MIDI connection.
7. There are options to change the view between 3d and 2d views, as well as standard MIDI options such as transpose, MIDI channel select etc.
8. It features a full-size realistic 3d piano keyboard which you can zoom and slide around to find the range of notes you want to play.
9. There are pitch bend and modulation sliders on the main screen too.
10. Windows users will need to use a driver such as "rtpMIDI".
11. Velocity is adjustable and is based on the position you hit each key.
