What is SkyNews Magazine? SkyNews is a magazine app designed for amateur astronomers in Canada. It provides current Star Chart for Canada and the northern U.S., seasonal observing tips, expert equipment reviews, space news, a Photo Gallery of reader’s best astrophotos and much more. The app is edited by popular astronomy author Terrence Dickinson and features some of the world’s best science writers including Alen Dyer, Ken Hewitt-White, Gary Seronik, David Levy, Ray Villard and others. The app offers a paid-for download of one issue of the user’s choice, and further future issues and back issues can be purchased within the app. Subscriptions are also available within the application.
1. Each issue contains a current Star Chart for Canada and the northern U.S., seasonal observing tips, expert equipment reviews, space news, a Photo Gallery of reader’s best astrophotos and much more.
2. -You may turn off the auto-renewal of subscriptions through your Account Settings, however you are not able to cancel the current subscription during its active period.
3. Edited by popular astronomy author Terrence Dickinson, SkyNews features some of the world’s best science writers including Alen Dyer, Ken Hewitt-White, Gary Seronik, David Levy, Ray Villard and others.
4. -The subscription will renew automatically unless cancelled more than 24 hours before the end of the current period, you will be charged for renewal within 24 hours of the end of the current period, for the same duration and at the current subscription rate for the product.
5. This will protect their issues in the case of a lost device and allow browsing of purchases on multiple platforms.
6. Users can register for/ login to a pocketmags account in-app.
7. Paid-for application downloads include one issue of the user’s choice.
8. We recommend loading the app for the first time in a wi-fi area so that all issue data is retrieved.
9. Existing pocketmags users can retrieve their purchases by logging into their account.
10. To use purchased credits, simply click on the issue price and select ‘use credit’.
11. A subscription will start from the next released issue.
