- The AI is very good and provides a good way to hone one's strategies.

- The solo play is great for those who prefer it.

☹ Cons:

- The colonist function may not be working correctly.

- Online multiplayer capability is not available for Puerto Rico or San Juan.

- The graphics and animation of San Juan and Puerto Rico are below expectations.

- The current implementation hurts the Ravensburger product brand.

- The game center with iMessage for multiplayer does not work well.

I love this game and am glad it still works on the iPad. While the game looks old it still works great and I haven’t had any problems.

The AI is very good, and this suffices to get your playing in. Unlike playing online with BGA, where one can wait a day or longer for their turn. It's also the way to hone ones strategies as you simply can't see strategies when you have to wait a day for your turn! I am not sure the colonist function is working correctly. I have never seen 18 colonists on the ship in the BGA games or in live playing with friends. It ends the game soon, especially if someone has a hospice. These large numbers of ship colonists happen often, maybe it's correct, lots of vacant buildings. Idk. The expansion sets would be nice to have too, something to program for the future. Overall a great, quick way to get your PR gaming in.

Not able to have an online multiplayer game with the app Rico or San Juan. because you have chosen to bringing this game into a mobile app then you must deliver online multiplayer capability. further asynchronous play for multi player must be considered a high-value capability recommend you revisit the online multiplayer experience and redo it completely. On a second front the graphics and animation of San Juan and the app Rico are below my expectation for Ravensburger As valuable as the Porta Rico and the San Juan products are I think you guys hurt the ravensburger product brand with the current implementation and you need to go much further I will look forward to future versions
Multiplayer is crap

A lot of people buy this game for the solo play. If that’s you, go ahead it’s great. But I bought it so I can play with friends across the country. This game, & every game that ravensburger make is total crap in that regard. It uses the antiquated game center with iMessage. This does not work. You might get lucky and get a game connected with someone who owns an iPhone. But just an iMessage account does not work. Which is exactly why every other board game maker runs its own server now. Because this is horrible. This includes every game that Ravensburger makes. I own them all. Unfortunately. When the game Center existed this was pretty fun. But until they update this it’s unplayable for me. Once they do, I will change this back to five Stars.
