A good journaling app

I use this app to journal the app thoughts from the day. I like it a lot - it's very simple to use, and no-frills. One of the other reviewers said the paid version is the same as the free one, but it isn't -- I believe there's a limit to the number of entries you can write a month on the free version, and maybe other limitations in terms of back-up and the like. The only reason I give it four stars instead of five is because of the back-up function. I like to convert the app entries to PDFs every month or so and email them to myself so I have an external record of the app writing. However, when you attach photos to a day's entry (which I do with some frequency), the app does NOT reduce the size of those photos and the pdfs become ridiculously large and impossible to manage. Sometimes I have to export day by day to PDF because four or five photos attached to an entry and boom, you're at like 12MB or something. It would be nice to have the ability to save as a smaller file size with the photos. Other than that, I really enjoy the app and it has encouraged me to write more often, which is very therapeutic to me.
iPhone update

Before updating the app iPhone, I was able to type into the journal app on the horizontal format and while I typed the paper would smoothly move up on its own, recognizing that it had to move so I could see what I was typing. Well when I updated the app iPhone 6s to iOS 11.1 the app now doesn’t do the same as the past. While I am typing on the horizontal format it just stays still and I have tried to close/open the app app multiple times and the problem still remains. I have to type in the app journal using the vertical format which I do not like to use, due to having to type at a slower pace. If you could please update the app to fix this problem that would be greatly appreciated.
Simple, effective app

I wanted a journaling app where I could safely keep the app day to day thoughts, and I was so happy to find the app Wonderful Days. I have been using the app for 3 years total, the paid version for 2.5 years. I do not remember what upgrading to paid unlocks since it's been literally years, however I use the app enough that I was glad to spend a few dollars to support it. The app is stable (I have used this app from iPhone 4S - iPhone 7 and iOS 6-10) and have never had an issue with it. If you are seeking a clean interface and functional app for chronicling your personal thoughts and musings, I highly recommend the app Wonderful Days.
Nice journal

I was looking for an app for someone with special needs and short term memory problems. Ideally I wanted an app where he could fill in the events of each day so that he could keep a running log of his activities to help him remember what he had done each day. This app allows you to update your entry at any time so you can add each event as the days go on. I would have like the app to allow photos and time stamp each entry throughout the day. Pictures entries would really help for folks who have expressive language problems but still want to journal. The interface with the app is user friendly and that’s great for people who aren’t high tech. It’s a decent app - better than the complicated ones. But I was hoping for a little more.
