Deceptively Deep

This game is awesome. It takes a long time to actually understand everything about the game, because every time you think you've figured everything out, you end up finding something new.
Concerning the little spat going on below me: He's right, the game is definitely better than what you're saying, and yes, you're playing it wrong. And it is definitely worth more than a single star. And considering that the whole game was made by a single person that speaks terrible English, I doubt it was him.
I love this game. It's simple, yet deep, and perfect for an iPod game. It's not an epic RPG, but it's not meant to be, and there's only like two of those on the iPod, anyway.
What follows are some hints that aren't really explained in-game, so consider this your

1.) The color options in the option menu are for more than just aesthetics.
2.) You don't have to have a weapon equipped.
3.) The crystal boss: Hitting one of the crystals changes the color of the surrounding two crystals.
4.) The game's not over after defeating the crystal boss.

The game is not bad. Sure it can get quite difficult at times, but that seems to be this game's charm. Still though, I do have one complaint. The bosses are quite hard to beat. In fact beating the bosses is more unrewarding than beating the weak slimes In the first as bosses do absolutely nothing. Sure, if you beat it for the first time you unlock the next stage, but otherwise boss item drops would be nice. And for people complaining about this game's odd save style. Hey, at least you get to keep your items. And really? That's how you progress through the game. So if you're stuck, hunt for items. Especially magic creating ones.

There just isn't anything to keep someone playing this game longterm to be honest. This is also very uninspired in my opinion. Fight slimes, walk up stairs, rinse and repeat until death then restart entire thing.
I dont know? How about adding a save system for starters. Nothing's more frustrating then advancing far into the game only to start the game over every time once dead. Be prepared for fast deaths a plenty! Though somehow it saves weapons your?
The pixel art was the pull for me otherwise I wouldn't have tried this at all.

I am in love with this game. I love the 8-bit graphics. I love the cool classes you can create. I love the spells you can use. And I reeeeaaally love the weapon system. This game is very fun and addicting. It is the exact type of game I was looking for. Buy this game. You won't regret it if you know what to do.
