  • Logbook without a membership

    By Ikaika8o8 (Pcmac user)

If you’re looking for an alternative to Logten Pro since the switch to ios11 this seems like an enticing app without the recurring fees. There are definitely ways that this app excels but the overall design logic is poor and when you need tutorials upon tutorials there is an issue. An application should have a level of simplicity where the user doesn’t have to flip through nearly 100 pages of user manual. Something simple as uploading flights from the mobile application can be tedious as the PC is seen as a master device while Logten Pro simply shared all the same settings. Additionally logging take-off and landing times can only be done in either zulu or local time while in Logten it can be done either way for convenience. These may sound trivial but these were comforts that one is to expect out of a premium application for working professionals who don’t have time to delve into more manuals. Although improvements are being made it’s towards supporting airlines and not catering to the current user experience. Edit: Since writing this review I’ve had problems with updating my desktop database with what’s on my mobile when it’s clearly logged and successfully updating; but the main problem is the lack of coherent tech support with timely responses. Some responses are often days apart without anything useful.
  • Overall great software

By pilot Mark S (Pcmac user)

I first took interest in this program when I saw that it was a one time fee versus an annual fee that other programs require from their customers. I do not claim that the interface is the most user-friendly available but whenever I have had a question the email customer support has been very helpful and has resolved my concerns every time. I love how much money I’m saving and how well organized my hours are.
  • Go with anything else!

    By 00Brady00 (Pcmac user)

I was told by numerous pilot buddies that MCC was a great and fairly inexpensive digital logbook. At first, it worked well but ever since their new update, everything has been beyond awful. I have emailed and emailed and emailed (because there is no number to call) to ask about converting old hours and it has now been 4 months with absolutely no response other than “thanks for the message we will get back to you, blah blah blah.” There are plenty of good options. Go with literally anything else and you’ll be happier than using MCC.
  • Not intuitive, poor Mac support

    By Gerxt (Pcmac user)

How on earth do you save mobile app flight entries? Not intuitive at all. Options for logging previous experience inadequate. Terrible mac support for the apps. Update: Mac version still not opening and new flights not appearing on the list of flights when saved and synced. I want a refund. Can the developers advise how that can be done.
