Software Features and Description

1. iPad must be networked to a computer running the latest version of Universal Control that is connected and synced to a StudioLive-series mixer via a FireWire 400 connection.

2. SL Remote connects wirelessly to Virtual StudioLive (VSL) for OS X® and Windows®, freeing the sound person to move around the venue while making adjustments to the mix and empowering musicians to take control of their own monitor mixes.

3. Conversely, multiple iPads running SL Remote can simultaneously control the same StudioLive mixer and you still have Virtual StudioLive (VSL), QMix, and hardware control.

4. SL Remote requires a Mac or Windows PC running the latest version of Universal Control (which includes VSL) and a StudioLive-series mixer.

5. VSL must be launched in order for SL Remote to detect a StudioLive mixer on the network.

6. SL Remote can connect to any StudioLive mixer over a wireless network.

7. SL Remote for iPad® provides remote control of nearly all of the mixing functions of PreSonus StudioLive™-series Classic mixers.

8. The computer and mixer must be connected and synced via FireWire 400.

9. Compatible with iPad only.

10. Requires iOS 8.0 or later.

Download an Android emulator for PC:

Install the emulator:
On your computer, goto the Downloads folder » click to install Bluestacks.exe or Nox.exe » Accept the License Agreements » Follow the on-screen prompts to complete installation.

Using PreSonus SL Remote on PC [Windows 10/ 11]:

Open the Emulator app you installed » goto its search bar and search "PreSonus SL Remote"
The search will reveal the PreSonus SL Remote app icon. Open, then click "Install".
Once PreSonus SL Remote is downloaded inside the emulator, locate/click the "All apps" icon to access a page containing all your installed applications including PreSonus SL Remote.
Now enjoy PreSonus SL Remote on PC.

I expect an apology or a free shirt. some ideas: I survived the last update, now we trust the sound guy, keeping us in business by updates, the app crashing wasnt so bad; mixer-$2k, sound system-$10k, reliance on a free app- priceless; yes but first sound man cardio; I live my adjustments 90ft at a time; how is your day going ok cool I'll update you later; its okay we can just yell at each other again; great excuse to buy a wireless guitar system; we're going to need you to come in on someday; oh, you’re under pressure, do tell; sarcasm is another free service. Update: after reading the release notes everything has to be updatedall apps, computer software and firmware

Well I too had to go through the update process setting up an older board in a restaurant and went through some of the quirks of the set up but it's just like anything thats software based over the past 15 years, you have to make sure that drivers, updates, or anything else is up to date.... not a big deal! I would say this is five stars except they have not updated the graphics as well as the TouchMix latest update which is awesome! But I did speak to somebody on the inside when I was doing my whole process and that dude was super awesome, big thanks!
Just updated to IOS 10 and 11. Works only if mixer controller is updated, too!!!

Just learned that mixer controlling software MUST BE UPDATED, TOO, for this to work. Little or no notice sent out by the app AND registration of mixer could be needed for mixer software update!!! Now works (again). Thanks! Previous old review: Have been using for 6 months under IOS 6.1.2 with little issues except occasional "stalling". Now stuck in portrait mode and can NOT access all iPAD functions on 16.4.2 mixer. Agree with other reviews that update is needed as soon as possible.
Broken

The recent update has completely broken this app. My band found this out the hard way at our last performance. We all use in-ear monitors and rely upon this app for our monitor mixes. As the keyboardist and saxophonist, I especially depend upon this app. Fortunately, one of the band members had an older iPhone that hadn't yet been updated, so I was able to use that for my mix. None of the others worked, however, and we had no workaround aside from having the engineer set the mixes during soundcheck. We had to start the show fifteen minutes late due to this failure. I'm happy that they've updated the app, but this rollout was a failure, to say the least. It needs to be fixed ASAP.
