Top Pcmac Reviews

  • Incredibly helpful for everyone

    By MatthewLive (Pcmac user)

My previous review still stands, and thanks to the developer for updating it to work with the upcoming Sierra operating system: You may think to yourself, “I don’t see why I’d need this, I can already use the Mac’s built-in screen capture functionality, it’s fine.” I get that, but here’s what you’re missing. In just one day of using your computer try to pay attention to how often you need some information from another window, another space, or another app. You switch from window to window and back again, making sure you got it right. Or maybe you spend time resizing a bunch of things so you can see all of them at the sizes you need to. You might be a designer who needs to temporarily recall some RGB values in a Photoshop palette or dialog box. Or maybe you’re a developer who needs to recall the sizes of a couple of views but can’t have them on the screen at the same time. Boom, this app is the answer. Just type your hotkey, drag around the thing you need to recall, then put it out of your mind and switch back to your other task. There’s the info, floating right where you need it, even though that other window/app/space is no longer visible. This app saves me hours of stupid switching back-and-forth or copying-temporarily-to-notepad or resizing windows or dealing with giant full-screen screenshots or writing on paper (heaven forbid!). So, so useful.
  • Outstanding App

    By Chuck's Review (Pcmac user)

I purchased this app because I use Apples screen capture a lot but find it restrictive and cumbersome to use. This app floats the shot around, has a shot browser and can move between applications. These functions have made my workflow 100% more efficient. The app sits in the menu bar and is really easy to use. When I first used it I did have a problem which I reported to Matthias at Eternal Strorms Software. He did recreate what I did and it worked on his system which lend me to the real problem which was Apples (They have a workaround available). But this shows that the product is exceptional and the support is equal to the product. Eternal Storms cares about their app and customers. If you use screen capture buy this product. You will not be disappointed. Chuck
  • Increased my productivity and paid for itself the first day I started using it.

    By Christopher Doryan (Pcmac user)

I decided to give this app a shot after buying Yoink, another app also by Matthias Gansrigler. Mainly because Yoink became an instrisical part of my everyday workflow and I was super pleased with it. So I figured that if taking screenshots was also part of my everyday creative process, why not check it out? I’m glad I did, it paid for itself that same day. I can’t stress enough the quality of this developer’s apps. I might even check out Transloader. Good thing he always lets you test trail them before committing, but he does it that way, because he knows you will get hooked with the product. Good strategy. You can’t go wrong with this one, trust me.
  • An app that should be built into macOS

    By hmmallen (Pcmac user)

This app is awesome, and it's such a common-sense tool to have that it seems like it should have been built into macOS. Sometimes you just want to store a piece of your screen to look at and refer to while you do something else without have to resize or move the original window around, that that's what this is perfect for. I've mapped it to cmd-4 and by now it just feels like the funcionality is built-in to the system. It's there when you need it and when you don't it's out of the way and doesn't even leave screenshots behind after you take them (unless you want it to). If this sounds at all like something that would be useful to you, get this app.
