Was great until the last update

I have been using this app as well as many other Optime apps for years and they have always been great until the recent introduction of ads. I understand the need for the funding the ads generate and would be perfectly fine with it, but the ads do not work correctly. The ads do not appear on screen, but pop up in the background in the middle of a game and I can hear them while I am playing the game. When this happens, the app slows down to a crawl and eventually just crashes and loses the game progress. It just seems they tried to push out the new version with ads before they had worked out all the bugs. I just tried to play 3 different games and never got past 250 points because the game would crash and when I reopened the app, my progress was gone and I had to start a new game. Before the ads were introduced it was a great, 5 star app, but now it has dropped down to 1 star since I can’t even finish a game without it crashing. I thought about upgrading to add free, but I read other reviews saying there are issues with that version too. There are too many options for this app games on the App Store to have to deal with these types of issues so I guess I will be on the lookout for a new this app app.
Hours of addictive fun, however...

I downloaded this game at the suggestion of my girlfriend who was spending hours playing it and having a blast. By the way she's introduced me to my two favorite free games, the other one being Ruzzle. The advertising is not too obtrusive at all, after a while you get very good at it and are almost able to predict the card that's going to come out. That can be fun. Whether on the train, or on the airplane, or waiting for your flight, or on a bus ride - God forbid, this'll give you something to do for much of that time. Definitely a must download. The only thing missing? Friends, tournaments, stats and chat! I should be able to connect with the actual people that I play this app with at the barbecue, and play with them online to continue the fun of the game. If they add this to the game, it will make this the ultimate absolute all-time best this app game ever made. And I'm not kidding! I'm saving the last star for that part.
Angry that scoring is unfair!

Inept player Meagan is a minor problem...(Is she the red team's sister?) The scoring is so biased and fraudulent! Bid 3 make 2, and you might lose 30 Pt's one time; lose 40 points another time; and then lose 60 points another time! Anytime the "Blue" Team is winning, the "Red" Team gets extra points, and the "Blue" Team gets a "Penalty" and the "Red" Team gets an extra bonus! As an educator (principal and teacher) for over 30 years - I find this cheating is deplorable! I love a good challenge - but I want the activity to be fair! Same points added and subtracted for the same activity. Other reviewers and I are looking for other "this app" games where our skills are treated with RESPECT and HONESTY! Do you ever read the reviews? Do you want long-term customers. that recommend your games to other people?... Or do you want your customers to come and go? You created a program, but are you correcting your programming errors? Please do,

Either the ”AI” Is stupid, or the game cheats. I’ve seen all sorts of stupid behavior, but the worst was in a game where I didn’t have a card over 10 and bid nill. I had the 6 and 7 of diamonds, and the player to my left opened with the 2 of diamonds. My partner played the 5 and the player to my right played the four, and I got stuck catching the hand and taking the penalty with the 6 of diamonds. I started to quit then but I played it out just to see, and sure enough, my partner had more, and higher diamonds in their hand including the Ace! Why didn’t they throw that to help me get my nill? It’s ridiculous. The developers need to fix their stupid AI. The AI partner routinely underbids and runs your bags up. You get close to winning but then she sets you back 100 points. Update. This game is pathetic and should be pulled from the store. The developer should be embarrassed.
