The description of this app should tell you that the english text sounds like it is translated from chinese and therefore is often grammatically incorrect. This can be a problem for an app that is targeting a young reading audience. Also, the read to me voices are just one person using different intonations as if they only had one person in the production suite that was capable of speaking english. I'm sure the chinese version of this is excellent. I also love the one page towards the end when the sea witch yells 'this app! I will KILL YOU!!' Overall very inappropriate for my 4 year old.

Good book, well done but it is TOTALLY Inappropriate narration to say "I will kill you", even if the boy is talking to the witch. My 4 year old heard this and is now repeating it. This is a children's book.

Although the illustrations are beautiful, the language used by the storyteller is not correct and, at times, inappropriate for children. The story was obviously translated from another language to English and uses some incorrect or awkward words and phrases. I found this to be true of all the stories I downloaded from this company. Very disappointing. I've had to delete them.
It's good app.
