Worked Great! and the on the first try!
By dcee3 (Pcmac user)
I used the this app program in conjuntion with the iNet program (also available on the app store) and they both worked perfectly! It's refreshing when software actually does what it says.
iNet will show you the MAC address (hardware address of the network card) if the computer is ON. So make sure you turn on the computer that you want to use this app with -because you will need its MAC address. Another way to get the MAC address of a computer on your lan (if the computer is OFF) is getting it from your router - usually located in the routers "LAN" setup section. The router should also show the computers lan ip also (I set up my router to reserve the same ip for each device - makes it easy to access each device when you know it always has the same ip address). Enter the MAC address and the ip address into the this app program and click the "the app Me" button and your all set. I was able to the app my remote server even though the server was powered down.
Great program!

Needs better bookmarking
By Su pa use ah (Pcmac user)
Can’t believe you are not able to name your bookmarks.
You should also be able to create folders for bookmarks and change the way they are sorted.
It’s a major pain trying to find a bookmark among a dozen others.
If the app had all this and a backup function, preferably synchronization with iCloud to other computers it would be 5 stars.

False Advertising

App works great if the computers are on your network, however this app does not allow you to connect to a computer "anywhere" in the world via the internet.
You can not manually enter a computer's Mac and IP address, the only way to try and connect is via getting the computer discovered. Well to be discovered it must be on your network! This makes it very difficult to "discover" a computer outside of your current IP address.
Next, even if you can finagle the software to manually enter the IP address, it will crash every time you push the the app button.

Worked For Me
By Fahrenhe1t (Pcmac user)
I just woke my PC up with my 2011 MBP. $1.99 saves me from having to stand up, step 2 feet away, and press the power button. God bless America. If it doesn't work for you, your router might be misconfigured, or maybe you mis-typed your Mac address. Apparently you can only the app up other Macs if they are sleeping, and not turned off. That's an issue with OS X.
