When you’re ready to take on your next paint project, start with the ColorSmart by BEHR® Mobile app - a convenient, easy to use tool to help you find your perfect BEHR® color, discover new designer-coordinated color combinations, organize your projects and preview your color choices in room scenes and on exteriors.

2. • Easily browse or search Behr’s extensive library of colors including BEHR MARQUEE®, PREMIUM PLUS ULTRA® and PREMIUM PLUS® color collections.

3. The colors that appear within the ColorSmart by BEHR Mobile App may not match BEHR color standards.

4. For the most accurate representation of Behr's colors, please refer to color cards and brochures available at The Home Depot®.

5. • Preview your color choices by selecting from a gallery of room images and styles – simply select a color and then tap on wall, trim or ceiling to visualize your color combinations before you paint.

6. • Using your camera, upload colors by scanning the barcode on the back of a BEHR color card or brochure.

7. • Use the Color Match feature to take a photo, then tap on the image to get the closest matching BEHR color.

8. Paint colors within the ColorSmart by BEHR Mobile App are only available for US and Canada.

Install ColorSmart by BEHR® Mobile app on your Windows in 4 steps below:

Download an Android emulator for PC:
Get either Bluestacks or the Nox App >> . We recommend Bluestacks because you can easily find solutions online if you run into problems while using it. Download Bluestacks PC software Here >> .

Install the emulator:
On your computer, goto the Downloads folder » click to install Bluestacks.exe or Nox.exe » Accept the License Agreements » Follow the on-screen prompts to complete installation.

Using ColorSmart by BEHR on PC [Windows 10/ 11]:

Open the Emulator app you installed » goto its search bar and search "ColorSmart by BEHR"
The search will reveal the ColorSmart by BEHR® Mobile app icon. Open, then click "Install".
Once ColorSmart by BEHR is downloaded inside the emulator, locate/click the "All apps" icon to access a page containing all your installed applications including ColorSmart by BEHR.
Now enjoy ColorSmart by BEHR on PC.

Misleading

I thought this app was great at first. I only decided to buy Behr paint because I didn't want to spend my money on a bunch of sample paints and they were the only brand to have an app where I could actually see the colors on the walls with different lighting and furniture. So I went ahead and bought the paint according to how it looked in the photos. Home Depot wouldn't let me buy in store so I had to order online but I wasn't worried. Even if it wasn't exactly what I wanted, at least it would be similar to the photos, right? Wrong. I ordered the color "Rouge Charm" which appeared to be a light/medium purple/red. It looked a bit dark when I opened the can but I thought it would take it's true hue on the wall. I started painting on a small wall. It was definitely not the color I was expecting but I tried to keep an open mind. I decided to paint the next wall, I thought it might look better on a bigger wall that caught more light. It looked even worse. I thought I was purchasing a light purple and I got a dark red. Now I'm out $65 because I bought 2 cans of useless paint and I can't return it. I will be buying paint from a different brand after I save up enough money to do so. This is why I am most angry, not everyone has the extra money to buy a bunch of samples. The reason I used this app was to save money and make my life easier but it just made things more difficult. It makes no sense to have an app to view colors when it's not even accurate. Very dishonest.
I don’t want YOUR palette

The last time I was choosing colors to paint with, I was on the website and could choose my own palette of colors. Now it seems I can’t, and if it has something to do with using the mobile site, then that should be something you update. Anyway, I downloaded the app hoping I could do what I wanted that way. Did I find it any easier? No. I still can’t put together my own palette of colors, instead I am, again, forced to choose your generated ones. Colors I don’t want. If it is a user issue, then I am sorry I am complaining. Even so, if there is a way to put together my own palette, shouldn’t you make it more obvious or accessible? Anyway, maybe Valspar’s website is more user friendly.
Disappointing and frustrating

I was quite intrigued when I discovered this app and had high hopes that it would help us choose a color. I had already picked up several color chips from Home Depot and I input the number of my favorite into the app. I was surprised and disappointed to find that the color it displayed was quite different from the color of the sample chip. Several shades lighter. They were both blue, but that’s where the resemblance ended. So just to keep an open mind, I took a picture of the room and tried to get a preview of how it would look. Unfortunately, this feature of the app is not user friendly. After tinkering with it for a few minutes, I gave up in frustration and deleted the app. Back to the old low-tech method of obtaining several sample chips, taking them home, and trying to visualize how they’ll look in the real world. Bottom line: Don’t waste your time. A company like Behr should be able to do better than this. ARE YOU LISTENING, BEHR???

The Behr Color Smart app is a great tool to gather color ideas, save favorite shades, and get suggestions for multiple lighter and darker tones before going into the store. I do not agree with the other reviewer placing the blame of their paint selection on the app. If you have any experience purchasing paint, always get a color chip and/or buy a sample to take home. The lighting of an individual room (not to mention warmth or coolness of flooring and trim color) can make any shade appear differently than in the store under fluorescent lighting or on one’s phone. Even the brightness level on a person’s phone can impact how a color appears. This app does what it says and is a good tool when used correctly.
