  • Impressive App but Unstable

    By islandoz (Pcmac user)

I would easily give this 5 stars on the feature set of this app but it loses one star because of more than infrequent crashes--3 crashes in the last hour alone. I'm on iOS 6 on the latest iPad. Fortunately I have lost very little work after a crash. I DO like this app. I am impressed that the app just disappears and allows me to just think and dink with my user experience. I do wish some of the controls were "smarter" so you wouldn't have to duplicate screens to show small changes in UI state. For example, the On/Off control is mostly just used in changing settings--it usually does not activate a whole new view of your app. Would be nice to toggle the control without having to duplicate a view just with the toggle state changed. It would also be nice to have a functional slider control. Of course, I'm also asking for a richer message set along with more life like controls. for example, having something like a swipe action for the slider control so I could go somewhere in the UI based upon the slider value rather than simulating a swipe with multiple screens with the slider showing different amounts "of slide". The downside of having life-like controls of course is more complexity but for professional UI designers like me, I could more efficiently simulate my user experience with less copy and paste of static displays. I'm really not complaining, this is really a very nice piece of work stability issues aside.
  • Has potential.

The lite version shows a lot of promise. I cannot tell from it if I will be able to apply colors and if so , will it just be lines or will fills be available? Also not sure if I will be able to import jpg or other files so not purchasing it .
  • Simple and effective

This app is great, very simple to use and intuitive. I take my iPad to client lunches and mockup a new concept in literally seconds. For those that complain about the price, I say get a job as a real app developer. The $20 price tag is more than reasonable as similar products on the PC run more than that for a monthly fee. I am surprised to even see a complaint about price from people that supposedly make apps for a living, as that is really the customer base for this app. Complainers should be ashamed for continuing the devaluement of app prices ($1 for an app is ludicrous but you'll pay 2.75 for an ice tea). I for one am happy to see an app valued closer to its actual value, though I still think it is worth more. Maybe they will make enough to put a hot meal on the table for their kid. Good job guys, keep up the good work.
  • Fantastic

I can't believe how great this light version. It's not light at all. There is a bit of friction with the interface at first, but you get the hang of it pretty quickly. I've been eager for an app that I could truly be productive with, and this is it. Some features I'd like to see include: interface themes, because I get stuck on making visual design decisions and would like some sort of clean/wireframey style so my clients and I could just focus on navigation and IA. Second, a preloaded library of screen templates to speed up the workflow on common design patterns. Lastly, scrolling. Thanks for a great app!
