Download and install the TextWrangler app on your Windows 10,8,7 or Mac in 4 simple steps below:

Download an Android emulator for PC and Mac:
Get either Bluestacks or the Nox App >> . We recommend Bluestacks because you can easily find solutions online if you run into problems while using it. Download Bluestacks Pc or Mac software Here >> .

Install the emulator on your PC or Mac:
On your computer, goto the Downloads folder » click to install Bluestacks.exe or Nox.exe » Accept the License Agreements » Follow the on-screen prompts to complete installation.

Using TextWrangler on PC [Windows 7/ 8/8.1/ 10/ 11]:

Open the Emulator app you installed » goto its search bar and search "TextWrangler"
The search will reveal the TextWrangler app icon. Open, then click "Install".
Once TextWrangler is downloaded inside the emulator, locate/click the "All apps" icon to access a page containing all your installed applications including TextWrangler.
Now enjoy TextWrangler on PC.

Download the Amazon-Appstore » (U.S only)
- Click on "Get" to begin installation. It also automatically installs Windows Subsystem for Android.
- After installation, Goto Windows Start Menu or Apps list » Open the Amazon Appstore » Login (with Amazon account)

For non-U.S users, Download the OpenPC software »
- Upon installation, open OpenPC app » goto Playstore on PC » click Configure_Download. This will auto-download Google Play Store on your Windows 11.

Installing TextWrangler:
- Login to your computer's PlayStore or Amazon AppStore.
- Search for "TextWrangler" » Click "Install" to install TextWrangler

My go-to application for text

I do lots of research and presentation of data for marketing. this app helps me solve numerous challenges with text from a variety of sources. My most common use cases: 1. clean up screen-grabbed text to put into a spreadsheet, 2. “fix” text from a PDF document for use in InDesign/Illustrator, 3. remove duplicates from lists, 4. augment lists with tags and missing data. Anytime I think that I might need to do a bunch of manual cleanup of text, I paste my text into this app and see if I can leverage any patterns to make the job easier. I’m not yet a GREP expert, but I understand how powerful that would be to know. A wishlist item: some way of constructing GREP searches with a preview to get feedback/learn quicker. Excellent application.

Text Wrangler is one of the best Apps I have. I use this for all my text files. I especially like the multi file text search, man that is so helpful and a time saver. I have never had an issue with this App, never. It is such a joy to use, I would gladly pay for this app. I’ve been using Text Wrangler for many years and I hope it gets update to support the newer OS X. Since I’ve recently upgraded to High Sierra I now get a warning that says the app is not optimized for your Mac. This is the only reason I can see why an update would be needed. Thanks you the developer for this awesome App !!
My Go-to Text Editing app

Downloaded this several months ago when I had to do a large amount of editing of text files to look for and replace certain characters including hidden/special characters and it worked great. Since then, it's become my go-to app for opening, editing, and working with text files on my Mac.

I’m an old-school web developer who used to hack out webpages using Apple’s TextEdit. I use WordPress for all-out website development, but often I just need some basic HTML files or want to tweak exsisting HTML files. Now that I’m using El Capitan, Apple has fancied up TextEdit so much it’s useless as an HTML file editor. this app gets the job done clean, fast & easy wih a super-small footprint. Cheers to BareBones!
