Great Metronome! one suggestion
By iReviewiTunesStuff (Pcmac user)
I've taken my rating down because I asked for a very simple (but important) feature more than 18 months ago, and still nothing.
This used to be a great app, but some basic features aren't there and updates never came. A metronome app doesn't need beatboxing, sampling, and tones. I just want to be able to use this as my click for live shows. That means 1: I need to be able to go to the next preset with a keyboard shortcut 2: I need to be able to click and drag the presets into any order (not just alphabetical order). I now use "Tempo" on my iPad as my live metronome. I'd pay hundreds for it, but it was only $3.

Very helpful
By Chumbucket Treacle (Pcmac user)
I like all the features of this app. You can have only 1 of 2 16th subdivisions by using the swing setting on the 8th note, but perhaps you can apply your version from the iPhone Bettote that I have so as you click the 16ths you can choose to more options on all subdivision settings. Basically all the missing features are the ones you have for the iPhone Dr. Betotte TC. Please implement these to the more expensive computer version!
Another thing is with the progression editor - I wish I could have more than one "second" chord. Basically if you have the Beat Mode not as single but mult-beat, you should be able to have that reflected as well in the progression editor so the number of beats in metronome are number of allowed chord changes in progression.
Another feature would be to upload not just custom metrnome sounds but custom MIDI sounds, not just GM.
I also find that the pitches on the organ I use for tuning (since it's more pure and sustained GM sound) seem to be tuned to A441 with no option to calibrate the tuning! Ever thought of adding tuning capabilities including a meter?
Thanks for the good work so far. I would expect at least the better features in the iphone to be implemented as a free upgrade and then extra ones would consider an upgrade. I simply feel the price for the computer version which has less features than the cheaper iphone version doesn't justify the 4-star rating I would like to give it as a stand-alone.

A must have for a musician
By Orpheus the Rockstar (Pcmac user)
I am a guitar player and I normally use my computer to practice. I have an old simple metronome app that works well but Dr. Betotte is beyond good! It looks pricy but don't forget that here we are paying for the knowledge and work of the developer. I think this app is very powerful and useful. I'm actually returning a physical metonome that I bought at Guitar Center for $90. I bought it becuase it has some cool features but this app is way better. I know that i'll be depending on the computer for this metronome but, I have a basic physical metronome just in case. The fact that you can create your own rhythmic patterns is just great. It also has an accelerometer that you can configure to speed up or slow the BPM automacially every certain measures. It also has a timer. Any way you can't go wrong with this App. Thank you for your work Seishu!

Too complicated, SHEESH
By 12332455443 (Pcmac user)
Definately not what I'm looking for. They are trying to make this thing do EVERYTHING. All i need is a beat, not all these complicated beat box settings. Such details will not make you a beter musician. Oh, and a very nice touch: To attempt to determine how to get this joke to simply run like a metronome, I go to "Dr. Betotte Support", click on product "Manual" and I get the message: "No Service Available". Beware…. For me, this is a TOTAL waste of money and time. Thank you. Uninstalling!
