What is RMV?

The RMV-App is a travel companion app that provides users with easy purchase of tickets, current connection information, and additional functions such as direct purchase of tickets, reduced price for supported connections, and maps of the surrounding area.

Software Features and Description

1. - Travelers with a valid BahnCard 25 or 50 can use these to buy single-trip tickets at reduced price for supported connections (choose the relevant setting at: Connections & Ticket > Settings > Traveler).

2. Current connection information: The RMV-App offers you a fast door-to-door connection information including prognosis data and current traffic information.

3. Your favorites: Save your most important connections to have quick and easy access to tickets and timetable information.

4. - Search connections starting at your current position or choose from a map of the surrounding area.

5. - Show all vehicles and places of RMV mobility partners in your area on a map.

6. - RMV and local network maps are ready for download.

Install RMV app on your Windows in 4 steps below:

Download an Android emulator for PC:
Get either Bluestacks or the Nox App >> . We recommend Bluestacks because you can easily find solutions online if you run into problems while using it. Download Bluestacks PC software Here >> .

Install the emulator:
On your computer, goto the Downloads folder » click to install Bluestacks.exe or Nox.exe » Accept the License Agreements » Follow the on-screen prompts to complete installation.

Using RMV on PC [Windows 10/ 11]:

Open the Emulator app you installed » goto its search bar and search "RMV"
The search will reveal the RMV app icon. Open, then click "Install".
Once RMV is downloaded inside the emulator, locate/click the "All apps" icon to access a page containing all your installed applications including RMV.
Now enjoy RMV on PC.

✔ Pros:

- Provides real-time information on the current position of buses and trains

- Allows users to plan ahead and check schedules days in advance

- Offers the option to purchase tickets through the app

- Provides downloadable route maps for easy navigation

☹ Cons:

- Cannot purchase Regio or S-Bahn tickets ahead of time and store them in the wallet

- Only accepts German Handynummer for PIN number verification

- Difficult to figure out how to purchase a day ticket through the app.

Works great for getting around on the bus and train.

I have found this works great in getting around Frankfurt. I really like the feature of checking the current position of a bus or train. I haven’t used it to buy a ticket, but that is easy to do on the bus or at every train stop. It is also nice in planning ahead. I can check what time to catch a bus or train to reach a destination even days in advance. This is much more reliable and accurate than Google Maps.

I haven’t had any issues with this app. It’s worked great for transportation in and around Frankfurt, the downloadable route maps have been very helpful and the option to purchase a ticket through my phone is great too.
RMV App

This app does work ok in general. It is , however, most annoying that it is not possible to buy a Regio or S-Bahn ticket ahead of time and store it in the wallet. Maybe the powers that can make this happen should check out the Bundesbahn app where this is working flawlessly. Another issue (not so important but for myself) is that only a German Handynummer is accepted. My US number wo t work for sending me PIN number. The DB app has no problem with that, either.
