What is Allen & Heath iLive Tweak?

iLive Tweak V1.90 is a mobile app that provides wireless control of basic functions for the Allen & Heath iLive digital live sound mixing system. The app can be used on iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch and requires the iLive system to be running a version of V1.9 firmware. The app allows users to control input faders, mutes, PEQ, delay, mix faders, mutes, PEQ, GEQ, delay, FX send faders, mutes, FX return faders, mutes, PEQ, DCA faders, mutes, and engineer’s IEM, wedge monitor faders, mutes.

Software Features and Description

1. The iPhone uses its Wi-Fi connection to control the iLive via a wireless router (wireless access point) connected to one of the iLive MixRack or Surface NETWORK ports.

2. To prevent an iPhone connecting again in the future without the password, for example if you have let a guest engineer access your iLive with their own iPhone, select your network in their iPhone Settings Wi-Fi menu and use the ‘Forget this network’ function.

3. iLive Tweak provides wireless mobile control of basic functions for the Allen & Heath iLive digital live sound mixing system.

4. Check that your wireless router has an IP address that is compatible with the iLive.

5. Choose your wireless router from those shown in the Network list.

6. The iLive system you are connecting to must be running a version of V1.9 firmware to work with this version of Tweak.

7. Check for good Wi-Fi signal strength and that there is no interference from other wireless equipment in the area.

8. For security we recommend you password protect your wireless router.

9. The screen displays the names of any iLive MixRacks available on the network.

10. Make sure Wi-Fi is turned ON in the iPhone Settings screen.

11. Use a good quality wireless router.

Using Allen & Heath iLive Tweak on PC [Windows 10/ 11]:

Open the Emulator app you installed » goto its search bar and search "Allen & Heath iLive Tweak"
The search will reveal the Allen & Heath iLive Tweak app icon. Open, then click "Install".
Once Allen & Heath iLive Tweak is downloaded inside the emulator, locate/click the "All apps" icon to access a page containing all your installed applications including Allen & Heath iLive Tweak.

✔ Pros:

- The app is an awesome tool for controlling the iLive board.

- The iLive board is a great product with good performance.

- The app is easy to use and has a user-friendly interface.

☹ Cons:

- The app can only control the first 64 channels, which is disappointing for users who need to control more channels.

- The app is not universal, which is a travesty for users who have invested in older models and need an update.

- The lack of support for older models and outdated apps has caused some users to look elsewhere for alternatives.

Last AH board I ever buy!

I loved my iLive board. The lack of support just a few years after I purchased it cause me to look elsewhere. AH always had the worst apps, but pretty great boards. Others have caught up to the great boards and have always had great apps. They may not make these anymore, but should at least have updated the app. In reality the app should have been updated while the boards were still being made. Huge disappointment.
Please update for new devices??

I am not sure that it would be that hard to allow new iOS interoperability. We live our iLive at our venue but need apps!

This is an awesome tool. But I was very disappointed that it could only control the first 64 channels. I hope in a later version they address this. It's definitely a 5 star app then.

For those who have invested good money into your older models (We bought the T-112 when it was new), please continue support for those models. We are asking for a reason. The new app is not universal and this is a travesty not to have an update. Support your customers that support you.
