  • Excellent Value, Best in Class Performance

    By OutlawJoe (Pcmac user)

I am a professional writer. I have been using digital dictionaries for decades on various platforms. This app definitely ranks top in class. Feature rich, easy to use, and comprehensive in scope. I make use of the thesaurus, etymology, pronunciation, and web related services frequently. I have had no service issues with iOS updates over the years. I would gladly pay 2-3 times the modest purchase price for the long term value.
  • There is some problems

    By Esbrie (Pcmac user)

The app in my opinion is okay like I bought this app is a quick and easy app that I can look up words. But in my opinion it was not good enough for the price I have to pay. I am not going to comment saying it bad without proves. For one in some English words like “lead” there are two ways of saying it but this app provided one way. And sometimes when I look at how it define a certain words it’s hard for me to understand. Like the app is pretty easy to use I can give it credit for that but it need to improve to be better.
  • Love the app but the icon is heinous

    By kittycat262728 (Pcmac user)

As another reviewer already noted, the icon reminds me so much of Bank of America that I get these two apps confused all the time. It would be great if they changed the icon design to something that is more clearly that of a dictionary app. Trivial it may be, but it bugs me! That being said, the app is perfect in every other way. I love that it has corresponding Mac and iPhone apps and that they all sync with one another. Wikipedia integration is extremely handy as well. I have no issues other than the annoying icon on my homescreen. :(
  • Weird sound problem

By Leo from Miami (Pcmac user)

I love and use this app a lot. But I am seeing a weird bug. When I tap the icon for the pronunciation of a word, the sound volume is first lowered to level 3 before it speaks and after the audio finishes the app sets the sound volume to 0. I was hoping that with the next update this would be fixed but the last update of the app was more than a year ago. I wonder if this app has been abandoned?
