What is AudioBop? AudioBop is an app that allows users to browse the Internet Archive's Live Music and Audio archives. Users can browse through several available types of collections and sub-collections within those collections. They can also view details about each item, including its description, rating, number of downloads, and running time. Users can bookmark items for later listening and view their bookmarks in the Bookmarks tab.

Software Features and Description

1. To access the audio archive with AudioBop, you may need to connect to the internet via a Wi-Fi network to stream large audio tracks.

2. If you find a particularly interesting item, you can bookmark it for later listening by using the bookmark control in the top-right corner of the Details screen.

3. Details include the full description of the item, its rating if it has one, the number of downloads, and its running time if available.

4. AudioBop is an app to browse the Internet Archive's Live Music and Audio archives.

5. Items in sub-collections can be displayed according to their popularity or by the date they were added to the collection.

6. The Internet Archive in no way endorses this product, nor are they associated with Bubble Pop Software in any manner.

7. Tap on any item to display the details about that item.

8. Since most items are uploaded by users, some items may not have complete details.

9. To browse the archives, tap on one of the several available types of collections.

10. Doing so will display all the sub-collections within that collection.

11. Tapping on one of these is a shortcut to doing a search for that term.

Download an Android emulator for PC:

Open the Emulator app you installed » goto its search bar and search "AudioBop"
The search will reveal the AudioBop app icon. Open, then click "Install".
Once AudioBop is downloaded inside the emulator, locate/click the "All apps" icon to access a page containing all your installed applications including AudioBop.
Now enjoy AudioBop on PC.

To get started, Download the OpenPC software »
- Upon installation, open OpenPC app » goto "Playstore on PC" » click "Configure_Download" button. This will auto-download and install PlayStore on your computer.

To use AudioBop,
- Login to the PlayStore we just installed
- Search for "AudioBop" » then Click "Install".
- AudioBop will now be available on your Windows start-menu.

1 YEAR UPDATE: After a year of using this app every night I can honestly say I still love it. This is my most heavily used app and living with it for so long know has made me appreciate the stability and little touches. And yes it still works after I shut the phone off. I'd love to see a sleep timer and local media player for my own files added in the next update! I llove this app so much. It is absolutely the best way to access IA audio. I used it to track and listen to episode of Old Time Radio and this app is my constant companion. Love the interface and bookmarking. Great job, thanks guys!
Audio flop

I had been searching for a program to simplify acess to the IA and was happy when this appeared. Unfortunately it disappointed. Was only able to access 1% of grateful dead or furthur archive. It was like looking in a phone book which only listed the 10 most commonly dialed numbers. Also wifi was required and when the connection was lost (which was frequent) you had to start again from the song beginning. Using Safari was far more satisfying. The full archive was accessible using VBR mp3 or streaming and I could even listen (on my 3GS) using the 3G network. Hopefully this will improve. But for now it's Safari 4 me.
