  • Simple but useful

By Shea the Man (Pcmac user)

You have 3 waveforms and noise. Frequency, pan, and volume are the parameters. The slider range for frequency can be changed to virtually anything. I set a one octave range between 300hz and 600hz so I could have higher sensitivity. I later changed the max to 6000hz and the iPhone played it fine. One trick I learned is changing waveforms quickly and repeatedly to get a nice trigger effect. Even though it doesn't have cutoff, you can manipulate it physically by partially and completely covering the speaker on the iPhone.
  • Great to use with an equalizer

    By matrix_glitch (Pcmac user)

A great app to smooth out the frequency response of your sound system when used with an SPL meter and an equalizer. Also useful to help set your crossover points. A very good tuning tool for a buck. I looked at the sine signal on a scope; very little distortion, but some high frequency noise was detected. This noise probably originated from the probe cable or the ipod itself. This low noise was inaudible to me.
  • good, but needs improvement

    By Michaelocean (Pcmac user)

In order to get real live use out of this app, I'd need to see the names of notes on the slider. For instance, instead of telling me '440,' couldn't we have the option to have it say 'A'? This would greatly help me make this app wonderfully useful. Also, if you ever want to make an ondes martonet instrument app, I would pay as much as $10 for it. Until then, I believe this app is the closest to that instrument, but I am only half satisfied and I will not be recommending this app to anyone until the metamorphosis from frequency #'s to lettered notes occurs.
  • Doesn't work in sleep mode!!

    By 1337G33K (Pcmac user)

This app is great except the sound shuts off when the iPhone goes to sleep!!!! The iPhone's screen shuts off after a few minutes which turn off the sound!!!
