1. Blitzortung.org, which is used as the data source, is a global, high-precision lightning strike location network that is operated by volunteers to display lightning strike locations in real-time.

2. ‘Blitz Map’ is a free application that provides real-time lightning strike information in the Asia-Pacific region.

3. -You can check the time and location of lightning strike with a single tap.

4. -Three types of maps are available to check the location of the lightning strike.

5. -When lightning strikes a location you specify, a warning pops up on the screen.

6. -The real-time lightning information is displayed.

7. -The lightning movement in the past two hours is displayed in different colors every 20 minutes.

8. -When lightning strikes the area you specify, a warning will be shown within a radius of 1km to 2000km.

9. -By tapping on a lightning location, you can see the time and location.

10. -You can select the display from three types of maps: standard, aerial photo and hybrid.

Install Blitz Map app on your Windows in 4 steps below:

Download an Android emulator for PC:
Get either Bluestacks or the Nox App >> . We recommend Bluestacks because you can easily find solutions online if you run into problems while using it. Download Bluestacks PC software Here >> .

Install the emulator:
On your computer, goto the Downloads folder » click to install Bluestacks.exe or Nox.exe » Accept the License Agreements » Follow the on-screen prompts to complete installation.

Using Blitz Map on PC [Windows 10/ 11]:

Open the Emulator app you installed » goto its search bar and search "Blitz Map"
The search will reveal the Blitz Map app icon. Open, then click "Install".
Once Blitz Map is downloaded inside the emulator, locate/click the "All apps" icon to access a page containing all your installed applications including Blitz Map.
Now enjoy Blitz Map on PC.

For Windows 11, check if there's a native Blitz Map Windows app here » ». If none, follow the steps below:

To get started, Download the OpenPC software »
- Upon installation, open OpenPC app » goto "Playstore on PC" » click "Configure_Download" button. This will auto-download and install PlayStore on your computer.

To use Blitz Map,
- Login to the PlayStore we just installed
- Search for "Blitz Map" » then Click "Install".
- Blitz Map will now be available on your Windows start-menu.
