  • Make something change.

Yeah, I saw this game on an Insta ad, and from the moment the ad started, I had already figured out that if you just place a color in the row over and over, you would eventually the app the answer. This works due to design the amount of guesses possible being equivalent or less than to the amount of balls. This, in all honesty, just seems like a money grab game. It’s got a level system that some people crave. This said level system draws people in and keeps them playing to the app to higher levels, but without a difficulty increase due to the cheat, there’s not much of a pay off other than the number of levels you wasted time on. Also, there are a BUNCH of ads, which one can assume is just to make money. These ads play very often, and with the level system that people crave, they keep watching the ads, thus making the creators money. In all honesty, I don’t know how this cheat slipped producers minds, but it can be fixed. This has potential to be a great game, but at the games current state, it is not.
  • Poorly designed- did these people do math in college?

Because you are locked into keeping the correctly placed balls, you lose a spot that could be used to more quickly test all of the possible colors to see if they are part of the combo. For example, say there are 8 possible colors and four slots. If you happen to the app three balls right by chance the first time, you have only one slot to test things in- so even playing with optimal strategy, you might need up to seven more turns to this app (because you need to test all the colors you didn’t test the first time, plus the three colors in the three correct spots). If you were not locked in like this, you would need at most three turns to the app the correct combination (two to test colors, one to input the result). Therefore you are punished for having a lucky guess, which in my opinion is poor game design. I am surprised that people who presumably have computer science degrees produced a game that reflects such a lack of mathematical consideration.
  • I haven’t even played for that long

For the first time in the many years of the trend in ads for these sorts of games, I actually understand why the “player” in the ad is struggling. One of the most frustrating marketing tactics, in my opinion, is having some game where the answer is obvious and the “player” is still failing. It was so refreshing to see and ad like the one I saw for this game, where I actually wasn’t sure if I could do it or not. And that curiosity made me want to play. The mechanics are really nice and the concept is really interesting. Well done. I will continue to play. And I don’t see myself getting bored of this game any time soon.
  • Great Concept, Disappointing Execution

    By Evil Trecnoc (Pcmac user)

I love the fallout hacking system that works in a text form of this game, but this one just... doesn’t work. All you have to do is fill all of the spots with one color and make your way left to right until you’ve got the combination. The number of attempts is always more than sufficient for this strategy, and honestly there’s just no other logical way to do it. I’d suggest working on the hint system so that it only checks to see if the first ball in each sequence is correct, not the subsequent ones after an incorrect placement. It’s not a great fix, but frankly, it’s hard to pull off a concept like this without just straight up ripping off fallout.
